I just called and said "There's a Republican revolt going on int the House Chamber and I wasn't seeing much coverage of it." I got a run around on it. Was told several times "There are no cameras on now. Cameras are not allowed." I objected, politely, that the story could still be covered.
He seemed mildly irritated that I would question that and asked if I wanted to talk to (name garbled) and I said yes. Got a phone tree that led to leaving a recorded message. I did...
"There's a Republican revolt going on in the House Chamber. I understand that the cameras are turned off. You can still cover the story. Thank you."
If Pelosi is stupid enough to order the House Chambers to be emptied by security, I sure hope the Reps have the media savvy to force the issue.
Can you imagine the evening news leading off with video of the elected Republican representatives being forcibly removed from the peoples house, for trying to get relief from the “energy crisis” for the American people?
She’s arrogant enough, too.
But that would be rich on the news. Could be the beginning of a real tea party.
