But I still think it would be a mistake to toss the bag of blubber out of a transport plane over Haditha without a chute.
A lot of good at heart Iraqi could be killed in the aftermath.

LOL! Good one, Uncle!
Maybe the old coot will just slip on some soap or a banana peel. I know I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

You're (OK -- they're) missing a couple in Pennsylvania: They're also missing Tom Manion, USMC, running against the detestable slimeball, Patrick Murphy (who is also a vet), in PA 08.

A younger colleague (30ish) and I were discussing politicos and I brought up the FACT that if ALL things were equal, being a Vet would help my decision regardless of the party.
Mainly because the candidate and I would have something in common.
He was mystified by this—except, of course, if I chose the “D”—(he WASN’T a Vet) and could never get it out of his mind, bringing it up whenever he thought it would ‘rankle’ me.
BTW this guy (nice guy etc) has absolutely no problem going with the likes of JJ or BO because they and he are ‘of color’.....
Go figure...

I also found an article in The Evening Bulletin about the Williams/Sestak match here in my CD PA-07:
Clothesline In DelcoRidiculous as it may seem, the Republican congressional candidate in Delaware County's 7th District is being hung out to dry. The vaunted political machine has done just enough fundraising for Craig Williams to give the appearance that it has gone to the wall for him. In reality, it has simply collected the low-hanging fruit. Now that crunch time is approaching, when money is most needed to stay viable, don't be surprised to see the Williams campaign fade into obscurity, because it simply can't compete. Incumbent freshman Joe Sestak has $2.6 million cash on hand, while Mr. Williams has a mere $360,000. No one expects a challenger to match an incumbent's tally, but such a disparity is inexcusable. And once a freshman wins re-election, he is virtually impossible to unseat. So why punt a winnable seat? Good question.
Thank you, President Bush, for saddling us with that despicable wolf-in-sheep's-clothing Specter instead of Toomey. Fired Admiral(Ret) Sestak needs to be tossed like the trash he is.

I’m not all that up on PA politics but this sounds like it could be the work of the despicable PA Repub Chairman Robert Gleason, Jr.

I’m not as knowledgeable as I should be, but I really detest the number of WISCs we have in this state.; not a surprise when the senior federal position is held by the grandfather of the genre!

Hey. This can't be true. The Republicans are for the big guy and have all the money, the Demorats are for the little guy.
The ex Admiral is certainly a sly one at best.
