DES MOINES, Iowa (Reuters) - Four peace activists were arrested on Friday as they attempted to make a "citizens arrest" of Karl Rove, who was one of President George W. Bush's top aides before leaving the administration last year.
"It should be Karl Rove in that van. War Criminal!"

I don’t know what Iowa’s laws on citizen’s arrests are, but here in PA to be able to make a citizen’s arrest you have to have personally witnessed the commission of a felony. You may then detain the perpetrator until lawful authorities take over. These clowns weren’t making a citizen’s arrest, they were making a criminal assault.

I hope Rove tells them to stick it in their cornhole

I hear you. Although I do believe we already see this in E.L.F., but that has not reached the scale that you have spoke about and I agree it is a psychosis just waiting to happen unfortunately.
I am often concerned for the safety of many conservative folks whether in office or otherwise. As you are saying it could ignite on a huge scale.
I have seen many of these type of protesters at specific events and also in the streets of Seattle during WTO back in 1999 and I too am very surprised nothing more has happened. There is this sort of walking, possessed dead look and mannerism in many of these types and the aggression level goes without saying--over the top.

The four maintained that they were acting within the guidelines of Iowa Code that obligate private citizens to make such an arrest if they believe a felony has been committed and turn Rove over to police officials to bring Rove before a judge for formal indictment. By law, a federal judge should consider the charges and determine if an indictment should be made.Perjury is a felony. Are these goofball moonbats hunting down the impeached *One?

In most states, in order to make a citizen's arrest, you must actually witness the person committing a felony action.
Personally, if I were Rove, I'd let them take me into "custody" then I'd have them arrested for assault and kidnapping.

They are the exact leftist equivalent of the right-wingnuts who claim that the goverment is run by Zionists, Federal Reserve notes aren't legal currency, the government is building secret mass detention camps, the NAFTA highway will be used to ferry Chinese troops from Central America to Des Moines, etc, etc. Paultards!

If Rove were smart, he’d file federal attempted kidnapping charges on these loons....
