Very possibly true .. plus he interviewed VP Cheney yesterday. That was high honor for Tony, and I bet the VP asked for the interview.

To think of the nasty things that were said about the Snowman on FR during the immigration attacks. There are a number of FReepers who should be ashamed of themselves. The man was an icon of decency.

Pray for W and Our Troops

I totally agree. (about the O.J.Simpson trial coverage) ... Greta was horrible. I spent so many hours watching that trial ... I’ll never get those hours back! (hah)

Greta was so bad, I started watching on another channel. Let’s see, Greta was on that trial channel which didn’t have so many commercials but ... I couldn’t take her ignorance and bias.

I didn’t remember the details simply because the man displayed an ignorance that makes all blacks look bad. Both the council member and the Judge who was also involved are supposedly educated but that calls into question just how “affiratively actioned” they are. IOW. did either ever go to a class?

LATE EDITION (CNN) : Govs. Mark Sanford,

Next responses to the interview with Iraqi national security adviser Mowaffak al-Rubaie, who was trying to explain Iraq was looking to being more modern with education and oppotunities, and security was part of that consideration. Of course Blitzer was just trying to carry Obama’s ‘16 month withdraw’.

Well, I saw the whole tribute show for Tony show by FNC. On the whole, I thought it was excellent.

I do have some strong thoughts, and I just had to email them:

~~~~
“I’m so surprised that, at the end of the show Brit was mentioned Tony’s #1 goal of providing for his family, and that was why he was so furiously out all over the country giving speeches, etc. at the end ... even through his devastating illness and treatment
Brit said “We hope he succeeded in that goal.”
My honest shock was that Brit didn’t announce that a fund has been started by Tony’s Fox News family for the Snow family.
It was a very cold way to leave a subject so vital to his great friend and so important for the future of his family.
‘Yeah, I hope he accomplished it.”
If you announced a fund for the family, thousands would be sending in financial donations for the family he treasured so much.
I urge you to do something, rather than leaving the subject in such an uncaring way.”
~~~~

I was very stunned at the way Brit left the subject.

Affirmative action has been devastating for any minority it was supposed to help.

For a long time every minority was under a cloud of whether or not the person deserved the medical degree or law degree, business degree, etc. It’s not pretty to question a persons real qualifications based on skin color or gender.

Even Obama and his wife have that stigma, IMHO.

[Juan’s son is a conservative? Think he can slap some sense into his dad?]

Juan rarely speaks of his kid. Not that he should but he seems to be put down by the boy’s position.

A great and in many way a misunderstood man. How many average Americans are aware of his great sense of humour and wit and his ability to do really a stand up comedy act.

On the other hand he can be dead serious when grave situation dictate and can act swiftly concisely and without emotion 911 is prime example of how he kept his head and did what was constitutionally expected of him.

He is also a prime example of how to get your family involved in politics without exploiting them and because of this they have remained interested and engaged in the process into adult life and IMHO his grand children will as well.

He made the campaign trail of 2004 of interesting and fun for his grandchildren and a family time as well. Lynne and Mary have both written about this in their books in different ways.

How many Americans are aware and here I blame the MSM of what a dedicated family man the VP is faithful and true to his High School Sweetheart. He has never been a politician to cry foul when she or his daughter Liz is challenged or criticized politically they have pursued careers that are in that field in one way or another and because of this have to defend their position themselves. In this he does more favours for the feminist movement that any rabid demo could ever do and in fact when people like Obama cry foul when his wife is criticized they IMHO do more harm to women's rights and the very thing that they would say their own party supported in regards to women than any republican or conservative politician ever does.

I have lived in or near both cities, and both have some idiots on the council - that is why I asked ‘which city’. Seems like both have been in the news recently.

Actually, Bernie Mac was kind of funny about black women and how it would be for a president with one as first lady. I don’t know about the vulgarity but he probably uses it all the time.

Anyway, I have serious doubts that Michelle (my belle) was amused!

Obviously, Obama didn’t want to come down too hard on what a lot of people would consider A Brother, but on the other hand, he needed to distance himself from offensive comments. And then added the all forgiving ... ‘just messin’ with yu, bro.’

the truth is Obama does not have black bro’s ... knows nothing about them.

Sounds to me like Obama just showed how unqualified he is for the position he’s running for.

George Will just stated, on ABC, that “Basra” was an example that supported those who said that the way to make the Iraqi’s “stand up” was to withdraw, as the British had done. Isn’t that a little like looking through one side of a pair of binoculars? The Iraq gov’t also dealt with Sadr City and I don’t recall any announcement of US troops withdrawing from that area.

Dallas has got to be the worst city (in the South) to have corrupt and stupid city government.

Okay, New Orleans is probably worse, but otherwise, it’s comparable here to Chicago/Detroit, etc.

What happened?

I am sure he did - I hope that maybe the VP would be able to represent the administration at the funeral if security allows. If not consider sensible or correct then maybe the President's father would be an excellent choice to be nominated by the President.

It would be great if the President could attend but I am not sure whether this would be correct protocol.
