I had the pleasure to meet him, briefly, last year; he was very gracious to this person coming up to him out of the blue...God bless his family.

Just turned on Fox to hear this.
How incredibly sad—prayers for his family.

I’m in Spain right now, and probably nobody here knows who he is...but I can tell my Freeper friends how really stunned and saddened I am to here this. He was one of the truly good guys. Prayers for Tony and his family.

Bahbah, I did not have my TV on and did not know. [It is on now.] I am not only broken hearted but struck at how quickly his disease escalated. When he was here in Davidson last year for his 30th class reunion he was tanned and healthy and very upbeat. I feel blessed that it will be my lingering memory of him.
From notes I got from fellow SnowFlakes, it seems everyone was beginning to fear the worst, but hoping for the best. I still in my heart was hoping to hear Tony's voice back on the radio.
I must go, Fox is running a beautiful remembrance of Tony and my heart is breaking. My sorrow hurts.
God bless, Tony Snow, I was honored to have known you.

Rest in peace, Tony. Your work is completed and the world rejoices that we had you for even such a short time.
Thanks for the ping, Bahbah.

He had a clear mind, which he could rely on under pressure, and he had great communication skills. He was a wonderful human being who will be missed.
Rest in Peace, Mr. Snow.

Terrible news.
I remember thinking when he took the Press Sec. job at the White House that he was too nice, he would get walked all over.
Boy was I wrong. He handled the press corp like no other Sec. in recent memory.

There are not many people in the media, if any, that I admire or want to emulate in all aspects of life. Tony Snow is the exception. I’m very saddened and the news instantly brought tears to my eyes. That just doesn’t happen with me.
Prayers for all who knew and loved him.

I feel deeply sad... what a different kind of person and WH spokesman, unlike his predecessor...

Awful news to wake up to. Prayers for his wife and children. He was a class act, all the way..
Many here remember his posts, and his witty commentary, on FR to the daily thread about his show. They were all removed when he was first nominated for WH press secretary. It would be nice if somehow they could be restored so that we could once again enjoy them...
