Fox News is announcing that Tony Snow has died.
Heartbreaking news.

RIP, Tony, you left this old world a better place. You’ll be missed.
In 2000, when I was in Washington, D.C. for GWB's inauguration, he invited me up to Fox Studios where he gave me and my friend the grand tour and took us out to lunch. He had my wedding picture in his office. When he told me he had put it there, I didn't believe him. But it was there.
About two months ago we were in touch and he told me he was speaking in Phoenix and maybe I could come down and see him there. For stupid reasons, my husband and I decided not to go. I will always regret that decision. You must visit with the people in your life, you never know what the future will bring.
Rest in peace, my friend. You fought the good fight and you will never be forgotten.
Cardinal O’Connor was outstanding. I thank God for having known him.

Thank you for posting that writing from Tony Snow. I had not seen it before.
It is probably the best response to cancer, suffering, illness that I have ever read.
Saving it.
May those inspired words make it into a book about Tony Snow’s life which will bless, strengthen, guide many thousands who walk the same path that Tony has now completed.

I am so shocked...and heartbroken. He was such a good man. Prayers for his dear family.
I never met his family. I only heard about them. And always glowingly.
One of the first things that came to my mind upon reading the news was he was far too young. None of us knows how long we have. Make the most of it. Sounds like Tony lived well and full.

I was shocked when he knew my blog, and maybe even more shocked at how he treated me — as a colleague, an equal in an arena where most of us bloggers felt like Cindarella among ten thousand stepsisters.
He wanted to interview me for his radio show, but he couldn’t work me in. Instead, we chatted off the air for a while, and he impressed me as a man who absolutely loved his work. His joy and his good humor shined through every word, as it did when he worked at the White House, and appeared on television and radio. Viewers and listeners got the authentic Tony Snow; he didn’t build a false persona for public consumption.
When Tony told the world about his illness and took a leave of absence, I sent him an e-mail wishing him well. I was only a little surprised to get a note back from him on his return, thanking me and complimenting me on my work. By that time, I knew what kind of man Tony Snow was, and I hoped his return would mean many years of us enjoying his work as much as he did. Alas, it was not in the cards.
My condolences and prayers go out to Tony’s family and friends. We lost a good man and a class act. Godspeed, Tony.”

I just heard that Tony was born in Ky. but grew up in Cincinnati,Ohio. It makes me proud to know that Tony was from Kentucky as I am and a Big Bengal fan. And that’s not easy to be a Bengal fan,as Tony has said himself.
I sure hate to see the good ones die so young.
We’ll miss you Tony.

Wow - that was great...and he picked up the sax at the end. I also see him with the guitar. I didn’t realize he was such a musician!

Hi SE Mom. Tony had not really been well since the cancer returned and spread to his liver a little over a year ago. All of us at FR hoped he could beat it again, but in reality, it was a death sentence when the cancer spread. Tony fought the good fight. Now I hope will all my heart that he finds the peace and glory we all yearn for in the next lift.
God bless you, Tony. You go home carried by much love from those you leave behind.
