It's "her time" to get into the family business.
Caroline Kennedy's high-profile appointment to Barack Obama's vice-presidential search team was orchestrated in a deal brokered by her famous uncle, Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy, in exchange for his endorsement, The Post has learned.
It was the result of Carolina, a 50-year-old Harvard grad, indicating to her now-ailing uncle that it was "her time" to get into politics, insiders told The Post.
JFK's daughter is looking to get her feet wet in political affairs, sources said, including the possibility she could one day run for office in some capacity or accept a position within an Obama administration.
"Caroline was part of the deal" for Ted's surprise backing of Obama, an immediate family member said.

That “family business” attitude really pisses me off. Representation is not a “family business” in this country. If it was, we would be a monarchy by definition.

This makes me sick, I had hoped Caroline could finish out her life away from the cesspool of politics, I guess its just not to be.

As much as I can’t stand the Kennedys, it really isn’t right to suggest that because Vicki Kennedy’s brother is a convicted felon, then she is responsible in some way or that it will rub off on her.
What does him being a felon have to do with her?

That's where the most votes can be found. Legally and fraudulently.
Ah, heck. Of course she could win in Boston or New York with probably 60% of the vote. But I dare her to move out to the Midwest and try to run for a senate seat in a state like Ohio, West Virginia or Indiana. Imagine if she had to work for it ?

Caroline (speaking to Obama): "Ah, come on...do you mean to tell me that the Clintons will gaurantee our investment?"
Ted (speaking to Caroline): " What's the matter with you? Never tell anyone outside the family what you're thinking!"
I remember seeing some video of John Jr. right before he died and when asked the question what the first thing he would do if elected President, he said, “Lower taxes.” Besides his great looks, THAT really got my attention.
Gee, I wonder why the MSM didn’t talk much about Kerry being in the service. :-0)
