everyone here believed Karl Rove’s “math” in 2006, too. Wake up, people: the electorate is changing and not in a good way. Our Republican leaders are not doing a good job of selling Conservative principle, and the people want liberal “solutions” now.

We’ve only got a couple of months to change that.

Many people know little about Obama. However, it appears he is not an adulterer. He lies less frequently and less blatantly than McCain...........

On What are you basing this statement?

If McCain wants to beat Bambi, he needs to get his negatives up. Never has there been a candidate with as much potential ammunition to use against him as Obama, but McCain is bungling it so far.

It looks like the GOP 527s are going to have to try to carry McCain's water for him. They are going to be heavily outspent by the RATs, but they have proven in the past they can make a huge impact with limited funds.

I am praying they can pull it off one more time.

If they’re not lying, do you care to explain the Gallup poll showing a dead tie?

We’ll get a miracle, all right. Either McCain will nominate a very good conservative for VP, one that makes people want to go out and vote for him as if he were running himself...(he would be, given McCains age) or Hillary will upset Obama’s applecart in Denver this August.

How does Obama rank next to McCain on LYING? That is a major character issue.

I saw Obama shirts and coffee mugs (and even Hillary coffee mugs) at an Urban Outfitters today.

They have a lot of new “retro” shirts for sale.

And it has become apparent that Obama represents the new Che for youth. Put him on your chest and it's accepted that you're cool. Next year it may be so 5 minutes ago but for NOW!

And unlike Che, Obama stands in opposition to your owning a gun. Obama may say is supports the recent Supreme Court ruling but he was very critical to his donors that they need to fight those who “cling” to guns and religion as political issues (gun control, and morals issues like abortion and homosexuality).

Even if Obama loses, his fan base will still wear their Shepherd Fairey OBEY Obama THIS IS YOUR GOD commie style t-shirts. It's the “dream” (”Man, this sucks, America would be much BETTER if it was Obama running it and not McCain...”). Wonder how many would dare to put on a shirt critical of Obama after voting him into office if he does win an usher in an era of Carter II?

It's taken twenty years and the failure of Hillary Clinton to secure the Democrat nomination for their fawning fans to finally air some grievances against the Clintons.

McCain will probably blow the VP nomination but the GOP needs to force his hand.

McCain is very much looking like a one term candidate. His VP will either out last him or become the incumbent.

If he chooses someone who would be a less popular incumbent for conservatives (like say Joseph Lieberman, Independent), then he may “win” in 2008 but leave the GOP without a candidate in training for 2012.

Every macaca moment in the Obama campaign is soon followed by a statement from Obama “this is not the BLANK that I knew for 20 years”.

And Obama is VERY creepy. He isn’t called the antiChrist for nothing.

Republicans need to be out defining Hussein. a different tactic than “flip flop”, but using the same point: show he is a flip flopper without using that phrase.

“unsure”, “how can we trust him”, “not stable”, “shifting sands”, “political winds”, something like that....

Obama will be bad news for America if he occupies the Oval Office. He will immediately be tasked with appointing one or two SCOTUS justices, and our 2nd amendment barely survived this week.

The stakes are indeed high.

The article doesn’t say much about McCain beating Obama on the “strong and decisive leader” category (the most important quality people look for in a president).

Most Americans are idiots when it comes to judging character.

Most Americans, raised by the NEA no doubt, have no idea what the word means, or what it is!

"Obamaroid, GW has kept your ungrateful arse safe for seven years from a terrorist attack. He has taken the fight to al Qaeda all around the globe and is winning."

I made this point to a committed Dem on the golf course the other day as he was ranting that he has never seen things as miserably bad as they are now (uh, remember Carter?).

I realized I wasn't going to make any headway talking tax cuts, sustained economic growth and other minutiae in the face of the fuel prices (his entire sky-is-falling argument), so I focused in on the point you just made, asking him if he really thought on 9/12/01 that we would go seven more years without a terrorist hit.

I could see the wheels were turning, and he had to concede that he was surprised.

We both agreed at the end that Dubya must be doing something right in the WOT.

Moral of the story: pick you battles wisely, and zero in on an unarguable fact, thereby chipping away at the liberal mindset.

Bravo Sierra. There's a lot about McCain that I do not like...but to say that Obama's character (who willfully chose the likes of Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Rezko, etc., etc.) is better than McCain's is rediculous.
