A Thursday afternoon meeting between Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., and other members of the Congressional Black Caucus grew tense and emotional for a moment -- perhaps illustrating that weeks after Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., suspended her presidential campaign, some nerves remain frayed.
Sources at the meeting said that Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, a Clinton supporter, expressed the desire that Obama and his campaign would reach out the millions of women still aggrieved about what happened in the campaign and still disappointed that Clinton lost.
Obama then said, "However, I need to make a decision in the next few months as to how I manage that since I'm running against John McCain, which takes a lot of time. If women take a moment to realize that on every issue important to women, John McCain is not in their corner, that would help them get over it."
Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., a longtime Clinton supporter, did not like those last three words -- "Get over it." She found them dismissive, off-putting.
"Don't use that terminology," Watson told Obama.

I really can't stand the sight of either of them or the crap that will continue to keep them in the public eye.
This Republic deserves a lot better option to run it then we have seen in recent years. Duncan Hunter IMHO was one of the few exceptions. The rest are a bunch of well ...

His dismissive treatment of women in general, wonder where that comes from? He has the mother who appears to have basically abandoned him, perhaps for her new husband...that might have something to do with it. "She doesn't want me? Well, I don't need her!"

Duncan Hunter was too good for what’s left of this country. We don’t have him, because we didn’t deserve him.

Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, a Clinton supporter, expressed the desire that Obama and his campaign would reach out the millions of women still aggrieved about what happened in the campaignArrrggghhh. Imagine having that big mouth Jackson Lee telling you what to do. Hillary is a big fat loser, with a ton of debt. And she still wants the limelight. The witch. They aren't in the position to call the shots.
But Hillary will campaign with Obama and bask in his attention. We'll never be rid over her............the horror.

issues like sticking forks in half born babies heads is the only issue.
John McCain offers Women national security, experience, and is closer to Hillary than Obama is right now. Its a no brainer!

Though he is clearly a product of the Chicago machine, I sometimes believe he really did start this journey idealistically (though that itself seems more left-leaning, perhaps. I disagree. My take on Obama is that he's in it for the same reason Bill Clinton was in it--narcissistic self-aggrandizement. Once he attains the power, he won't know what to do with it. Unfortunately, the ones who helped him get there will know what to do, and they will direct his hand.
