There’s a political/publicity aspect of this that I haven’t heard mentioned.
Is AP, no matter how they try to spin it with arguments about copyright or what constitutes fair use, is the result of their arguments some kind of conclusion they they “own the news”?
Most Americans would be repulsed by this conclusion. And rightly so.

Highly partisan new media fulfills Jeffersonian ideals far better than mass media's fatally flawed notions of Lippmann objectively.
