Why won`t Barack Obama release his birth certificate?
(Excerpt) Read more at littlegreenfootballs.com ...
Even if Obama had been born to two illegal aliens, he would have birthright citizenship because he was born on U.S. soil.
Both of Barru Goldwater’s parents were legally married as well as US citizens.
Not the same thing in Obama’s case.
It seems I may well be mistaken in that notion.
Apparently the term "natural-born" then applies to anyone born on US soil regardless of parentage or timing.
My own feeling in this regard is that if a child is born on this soil of two non-US citizens, then they should not be considered native-born, or natural-born (which two terms seem to be used interchangably), but perhaps naturalized.
If there is a single US citizen parent, then I believe that some qualifications (such as the years spoken of in the language already referred to) should apply for "natural born" status to be conferred.
But, apparently, based on what the two of you are saying, and more and more based upon what I am reading regarding jus sanguinis (right of blood) and jus soli (right of soil) status under the law that is not the case and Obama certainly passes under the latter unless somehow he was not born in Hawaii or other US soil at the time.
Thanks for the good and thought provoking dialog.
Actually, I did not get my information from an anonymous forum, it is what I learned through unofficial discussions with other expats like myself.
Information you get from a qualified attorney may also be erroneous for that matter.
This is only a discussion, if it were essential for me to know this information or any other facts concerning such, I would seek legal counsel from a qualified immigration attorney.
The web is a great place to get background information and there are many people that can certainly point you in the right direction so that if you do need to find out something, you can do so much more quickly and easily and have a good grounding in a subject you would otherwise know little about.
Maybe when HRC said he was unelectable, she meant literally, legally.
In terms of birthright citizenship, it doesn’t matter if the parents were married or not. Obama was born on US soil. He is a natural born citizen.
I would like to know if his mother’s passport records show whether she traveled to Kenya and at what time.
Of course, none of this negates the point that Barack Hussein Obama is the apex of the hate-America, domestic enemy in this country. His election as president would be the greatest coup any enemy has ever scored against this country and could easily lead to the worst, horrific disaster in our nation's history.
So...I’ve now come full circle now back to my orignal post on this in post number 7. Whew! LOL!
Kenyans believe he was born there.
I suspect they may have good reason to believe so.
Until proven otherwise, however, it will go forward as him being born in Hawaii, where he certainly would qualify as a natrual born citizen.

...makes the claim he was born in Kenya and that him mom immediately flew to the USA to “register” the birth here. However no proof is given of this theory.
My hunch is that his parents were never actually married. He says this kind of cryptically somewhere ... probably in one of his books ... something to the effect that he was never really able to confirm details of the marriage to his satisfaction. I took it to mean he knew that they never really got married.
I agree with you about the Clinton connection. It would seem a strategic fiat, if before the convention, it was found that BHO was not technically qualified to be the President. Clinton could then be given the nomination of her party at the convention so that the matter could be resolved and yet the GOP could be blamed for delving into this minor manner and disqualifying the “PEOPLE’S” choice.
You do not have to be born on American soil to be an American. I have served with military officers who were born on foreign soil (one France, one Germany) to American parents who were stationed in those countrys in the U.S. military. They are Americans by birth. If being born on U.S. soil were the only criteria then I would believe that all of the anchors born of non-american illegals are legal citizens. I don’t believe that because they are misinterpreting an ammendment resulting from the Civil War that was meant to legitimize all children born of slaves.
“Great point. Let’s chuck ‘em both and start over again with two new candidates.”
That’s what I’ve been thinking the whole time I’ve been reading this thread - here’s finally our excuse to get rid of both of them!
Were strings pulled after he was born? Did his grandparents wield that kind of influence? To get his birth certificate to say something that was no so?
Ends up, by any objective look, to be a stretch.
But, if someone came up with definitive proof in his mother's passport records and travel records...that showed he was born in Kenya and things were falsified to give him natural-born status, that would be a bombshell.
Even then, it would be ignored and discounted by his ardent fans and the MSM...oh, they're the same!
Without all of that, there is plenty of evidence before the American people of his associations and positions to keep him from being elected. We have to get it out and then pray the American people will not be mesmerized and bamboozeled by this chameleon.
It would not surprise me in the least.
I just happened across the above passage on NRO Campaign Spot. I find Obama's version of the story difficult to believe (what, Obama lie, LOL!). Here you have a guy obsessed with his "inheritance" from his father. It's very hard for me to believe that he did not search for the documents, especially given how easy it must have been for him to do so once he worked at a law firm. Makes more sense to me that he looked and did not find them.
The date of a divorce decree should be public, should it not? That would settle the question--if it exists they were married, if it doesn't they were not.
Wasn’t McCain born on a U. S. Military base? Or am I mistaken here?
