Barack Obama's plan for imposing unity on the nation after he takes office apparently entails a close look at war crimes trials for Bush administration officials. He has even said so in an interview with Will Bunch of the Philadelphia Daily News.
This kind of change -- putting your predecessors on trial for their conduct of policy -- may not be what most Americans really want or expect from someone with Obama's gauzy rhetoric of unity. But unity has a dark side in the hands of people who regard their opponents as criminals. America has two centuries-plus of history lacking the totalitarian practice of jailing the predecessors when a new president takes office.
This is the sort of proposal one might expect from a man steeped in Marxism at his church, from his friends like Ayers, and as a member of the Alinsky Left. But I am surprised he let this slip............

“entails a close look at war crimes trials for Bush administration officials.”
Oh please! Fauxbama would never be able to prove a damned thing.
Newbie, how long you been chumpin’ for yo Bama?
Afterwards, all us Freepers will be rounded up and sent to reeducation camps, dontcha know
Well, if you read the article and followed the links, you may get concerned. Paranoia is imagining the bad guys are doing evil things, and I'd place “concern” at, “I have read what the bad guys are planning”.
Obama has lots of words there about what war crimes may be, trigger points for investigations, and many things that made it clear he has given this some thought.
The whack left has long chanted about war crimes trials for Bush, Cheney, Rove and who knows who all else. Maybe Obama is just placating this branch of the Democrat party with this talk, but he certainly has a bunch of words around the topic.
What are your 2c for how to “stop Obama?”
proof is irrelevant to those wackjobs - for them, if the investigation can create a ‘crime’, its just as much fun
ask martha stewart and scooter libby
Absolutely...nothing to see here, Folks, move along.
I think instead they'll put subliminals in our screen backgrounds.
It's more likely that places that present disagreement will be cited as “hate sites” and shut down, a la Canada and the EU.
It’ll be a political pogrom....
Simple..the ones who are sitting this election out, writing in someone else's name, hoping to vote for hillary, hoping to teach the GOP a lesson, etc., etc., should get off their personal high horses, think what is best for the nation and vote McCain.
War Crimes Trials = anyone who posts on Free Republic, Dubya, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc., Matt Drudge, the entire pajamas media, Town Hall folks, World Net Daily folks, Rush Limbaugh, Michelle Malkin, Ann Coulter, Imus, etc.

Bet the trial will be run using the rules and standards of Canadian Human Rights Commission trials.
Marsupial justice.
Glad he’s on your radar....
Nugorp is “pro-gun” backwards, and that post isn’t that “pro-Obama”. It makes a decent point that if one only responds to the whacked-out part of the Left, the mushy middle will ignore most of the valid criticisms. I’m not saying it should be ignored or left out of the national dialogue... but it also shouldn’t be the centerpiece.
It now becomes apparent why he won’t meet with Petraeus.
Just try to imagine somebody predicting in, say 2002, that that particular concatenation of words would one day be posted on FR in all seriousness.
No, I can't either.
This guy reminds me of Mao. I can see him and his loonie followers launching a “Cultural Revolution”.
God help us.
Nugorp has left the building.
