Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas

In this election we have very a clear choice to make.

A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.

A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.

A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.

A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.

A choice between small government or big government.

A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.

Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.

God Bless America and our brave troops.

How about when you have a Hate Crime Tribunal such as the one in Canada?

“Preserving the country. That’s why I’m not going to vote for a bad candidate just because he has (R) after his name.”

NOT voting for McCain IS voting for Obama. Period.

No, I will not vote for John McCain. Period. I will work hard to help Republicans hold as many seats possible in the House and Senate.

“Words.”

No, he’s been consistent in regards to Iraq, per his voting record.

“McCain changed in ‘98.”

He voted to extend the Bush tax cuts in ‘06. He also voted against the 2003 Medicare prescription plan. He voted against the farm bill in 2002 and the most recent one. He’s also voted against millions in pork barrel spending. He voted against the minimum wage increase in ‘05. He voted to remove Saddam, voted for the surge, ect...There are plenty of conservative actions by McCain after ‘98.

"It's in man's nature to fight back when he's been pushed to the point of near death, or destruction. These next four years could very well bring about such a perception amongst just enough good men, that they would "do something about it."

A list of scary things.

1. Obama getting elected along with a massive number of supporting liberal democrats who then spend their time destroying our economy.

2. McCain getting elected along with a massive number of supporting democrats who then spend their time destroying our economy.

3. By 2010, Honest, hard-working Americans getting agry enough to do something other than watch American Idol and retake their country in person rather than hoping the Republican tooth fairy will do it for them.

In my opinion, option 3 is scarier. For "them", not us.

Amen brother..... the bitcons will refuse because their own self esteem trumps the welfare of America.

The Bitter Conservative mantra is “America be dammed, it’s all about Me Me Me”

“there is no difference in the destination both will take America “

Yes, there is quite a difference between a hawkish Republican and a terrorist, blame-America first appeaser.

I agree! That is what it is going to take to turn this around.

As it stands, if all the Conservatives in the country who are still around, showed up at the polls, (Like they did in 2006) it would not be even close to enough to win.

We will get the blame for losing of course, but the American Electorate has been so brainwashed by the media with all the overwhelming Gorebull Warming propaganda running 24/7, that the Democrats are being sold as the ONLY solution to save the Planet, the economy and the American people from the Oil Companies.

The Lemming stampede to the polls will be too much for us to overcome no matter how many of us show up.

This economy and this country has to fall flat on it’s face first for the ignorant public to wake up out of their coma.

Of course it will be painful for all of us, but plan accordingly and learn from it. I firmly believe that under the circumstances, there is nothing any of us can do about it for the time being.

A choice between the lessor of two evils is not a choice. Obama and McCain are evils whose policies will destroy this nation. I will not be voting for President this year.

“And Commander McQueeg wants to close GITMO and give these pigs civil rights in the US of A????
SPARE ME!!”

McCain voted in favor of senate legislation S.3930, which prohibits the terrorists access to our courts. It was Obama that voted against this.

“Who is really the Anti American?
This guy’s 19 year old kid is fighting in Iraq!”

Obama voted against additional armor for the troops, McCain voted for this.

Not a real intelligent position to take.

Let me ask you this; if you were in outnumbered in battle, trying to hold a strategic position, would you insult or push your best fighters and warriors away from your side?

There is nothing “bitter” about us Conservatives”. Only true conviction to our principles. Neocons like yourself fail to see it or have the ability to take advantage of it.

In fact, it’s why the GOP finds itself in this position in the first place.

“voting for the most leftist ACLU SCOTUS picks while opposing Alito and Roberts”

Which ACLU SCOTUS picks are you referring to? Why do you claim he opposed Alito and Roberts when he voted in favor of confirming both?
