Dear Freepers: It is Time to Support John McCain
June 5 2008 | jveritas

Posted on 06/05/2008 6:25:12 PM PDT by jveritas

In this election we have very a clear choice to make.

A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.

A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.

A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.

A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.

A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.

A choice between small government or big government.

A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.

Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.

God Bless America and our brave troops.

Let's see....

Amnesty for illegal immigrants....

Calling the Bush tax cuts "Tax Cuts for the Rich"...

Repeating the blithering nonsense of the Church of the Global Climate Crisis...

Judges....

He doesn't want my vote.

What’s more important to you? Preserving a party or preserving the country. You can honestly enable Obama being elected and be able to look at yourself in the mirror? To hell with it...we all deserve to die.

What totally more than evens it out is the fact that Obama wants to ‘do away’ with the military.

Sounds bad and is bad but the simple fact is that it wouldn't happen.

How can anyone say John Sidney McCain will carry on a war on terror when he wants open borders and voted AGAINST barring terrorists?

There's that chorus of crickets again.

I hear what you’re saying, but vote McCain now and next cycle we will get someone even further left. Soon we will be nominating Lincoln Chaffee and asking people to vote for him for the sake of the party. The only way to stem the tide of this continual leftward movement of the Pubs is to take a stand at some point and say NO MORE! For me, that point is here.

McCain did serve his country with honor, but I don’t even trust him to do what he says he has crossed us so many times. I also truly believe electing him will guarantee the Dems win in 2012.

I still wonder how the hell McCain got the Pub nomination anyway.

alot can happen in four years.

Equally, a lot *could* happen in five months...

It’s early, the wounds are still fresh...

And some folks are ever picking at those wounds. Look, it may well *be* that, in the end I will have to vote for a man who looks poised to destroy what's left of this country, as I have known it, in order to stave off an even worse destruction. But, it is now only the second week of June, and the first Tuesday in November is still a ways off yet. So, why do folks keep telling me I simply *must* commit to Mc Cain, *now*?

250 posts, no one has mentioned the choice of voting third party. Since I’m not happy with either of the candidates, I’m considering not voting for either of them.

I used to not vote, on the logic that my vote couldn’t make a difference. Since conventional wisdom is that voting is worthwhile, it seems to me that the same logic applies to voting third party. If enough people go that way, politicians and parties will go that way.

Who’s with me?

1: vote for McCain
or
2: “vote for socialism” Carbon Cap and Trade

“higher taxes” McCain voted against the Bush tax cuts, using lefty lingo when he did so.

“and curtailed liberty.” McCain/Feingold ring any bells?

This is truly sad. It is truly sad that all the GOP has to sell their candidate is FEAR. “The ‘boogieman Marxist’ is coming! You’d better vote for McCain!”

Believe me, I understand what you’re saying and part of me agrees ... especially when I keep seeing those pictures of Barack Hussein Obama and his devotees, I want to jump on-board the “Stop Hussein Obama Express”.

But, then, I hear something that McCain or one of his surrogates have said that sounds liberal and I just want to just say, “Forget it. I can’t hold my nose anymore. I can’t be guided by fear anymore.”

I just don’t know. Perhaps, when November comes, I probably will clip the clothes pin on my nose, drink a case of Pepto-Bismol and vote for McCain. Anything to keep Obama out of the White House!

Cooking the books

#1 - In CT it has been exposed that there are thousands of long-dead citizens who are still listed as “active” on the voting rolls

A woman CT official then claimed: “But no dead people voted in CT...”

An older woman said “My mother voted for Obama - and she has been dead many years”

-

#2 - In Europe many credit card owners are discovering their stolen credit card numbers and PIN numbers were used multiple times to charge large amounts of money to the Obama campaign!

-

Did Obama really win the primaries?

Who is running the Obama campaign contribution scams overseas and here in the USA?

I will vote for Mccain IF he gives me one plank in his platform as a reason to vote for him. He can pick any one of these:

1) Secure our Southern border. 2) Drill in Anwar 3) Drill off the coast of California and in the Texas Gulf. 4)Support the Marriage Amendment 5) Make abortion illegal All he has to do is heva one of these in his platform and I will vote for him.

If not, I will write in Duncan Hunters name.

And there are millions who feel the same as I do.

I don't give a rats ass if Obama is elected. If he is, it is because the RNC earned it.

All of the choices listed in your tome are pretty much B.S.

I will pull the McCain lever, not as a vote for him, but as a vote against Marxism and capitulation to terrorists.

The democrats in Congress abhor the Military, who knows how badly they could deplete it?

The third party choices thus far suck as much as the major candidates. You have Baldwin who wants some sort of Unconstitutional Theocracy all under the guise of the Constitution Party. Then you have ACLU Barr for the Libertarians. Other than that, the other third party choices are leftists such as green, socialists, etc.
