In this election we have very a clear choice to make.
A choice between Victory against Islamic Terrorism or surrender to our terrorist enemy.
A choice between free market capitalist economy or socialism.
A choice between constructionist judges or liberal judges who legislate from the bench.
A choice between Life for the unborn or abortion on demand going wild.
A choice between lower taxes or higher taxes.
A choice between small government or big government.
A choice between John McCain or Barack Obama.
Let us choose John McCain. A Patriot, a war hero, and would be an excellent President.
God Bless America and our brave troops.

> There comes a time when a person has to stand up and say no more. If not now...then when? EXCELLENT point, CindyDawg. If not now... maybe in a few years, when we've been disarmed, silenced, and taxed to death, we can stand up and say "no more" while staring down the business end of a government-issued (or even worse, U.N.-issued) rifle. We're moving toward that now, whether it's Obama or McCain -- with McCain, the process will just be slower and probably weirder.
Not for me. I'll disappear into the wilderness before that happens... and before I'd vote for the weaselly McCain.

Do we FReepers want to win the War in Iraq, thats it, do we want to sacrifice our better views in favor of winning that war? So, when exactly do we win this war? We already defeated the Iraqi government.
The problem with declaring a war on evil (terrorism is a form of evil) is that humans are incapable of winning that war on their own.

I thought you were pro-choice. No, McCain does not understand terror. He voted AGAINST barring terrorists from US. He wants amnesty and open borders and that will play into the hands of radical Muslims. Cindy met with a radical Muslim not long ago. He is uninformed re al Qaeda. Did you watch his speech? Yikes!

There's only
one reason that someone would post such a shameless gushing schoolgirl vanity for a
RINO that almost jumped ship like Jeffords did.

I hate to tell you, but no matter who wins, unless they make radical legislation, the economy will rebound over the next few years. This is coming from a strict objective viewpoint. There are many factors I can see changing this, from the potential Euro currency decline, to oil falling back into line, Iraq winding down and being an oil producing ally, to the growing economies of India becoming an economic ally and China slowly moving away from Communism.
I may be wrong, but I hope I'm right. These things won't depend on who is elected unless they make very radical moves that disrupt world trends.

I think we need another Jimmy Carter before we can get another Ronald Reagan. Four years of Jimmy got us eight years of Ronald Reagan. Unfortunately that led to four years of "kinder, gentler" George Bush #1 which directly resulted in eight years of the bent one.

There’s virtually no difference in ideology/recent past actions of the two candidates cited. Both are liberals and both will create havoc greater than anything Jimmy Carter ever did.

Absolutely I will vote for McCain. I abhor the thought that a man who loves his country so much that he endured years of torture while defending her could lose to a man who would have us believe that patriotism is refusing to wear the American flag on his lapel and refusing to place his hand on his heart during the national anthem. Whether we agree or not with McCain on all the issues, he’s more an American than Barak Hussein Obama could ever hope to be (and I don’t think he hopes to be).
To: mdittmar
That’s ok if you don’t vote for McCain. He won the GOP primaries without the support of Freerepublic.
To: gakrak
ditto...I’m not a big McCain fan but the thought of a lefty socialist who will appease the enemy being president turns my stomach...
