Facts are difficult things to ignore.

Chessani, who was on his third tour in Iraq, provided information about the killings to his chain of command, but prosecutors say he should have been quicker and more complete in explaining the incident.
Three tours in Iraq, as of November 2005, as the most effective commander in Iraq and all these persecutors [sic] can say is he should have been quicker and more thorough in "explaining" the incident after an all day battle with one of our own dead and several injured!?!? There is a REASON Chessani is the most effective commander in Iraq...he knows how to set priorities in a war zone.

Marine-jurors with combat experience in Iraq will not second-guess one of their own if it means branding him as a criminal.
It's not a question of "branding" him, it is a question of knowing what the hell they are talking about, as those who have walked the walk.

Expecting him to apologize is naive.

It is also FAR, FAR too late for that! What good would an apology do at this point? These men have been treated worse than the terrorists at Gitmo, had their lives destroyed for more than 2 years and counting, and quite possibly have had their future careers tarnished or ended.

Al-Murthawi's treasonous behavior has given aid and comfort to our enemies, emboldening them to continue fighting and killing America's finest! Their blood is on his hands!

The POE needs to RESIGN and be tried for treason. A living trust should be set up for each of these 8 families using his ill-gotten wealth at the public trough to supplement these men and their families for the rest of their lives.

I read yesterday charges were filed against a sniper, SSGT John Winnick for violating ROE. Any news on that?
