"Obamabombshell" Watch Thread (LIVE)

Well, today is supposed to be the day the big, huge, bad, devastating, apocalyptic, {insert-dire-adjective-here} political "bombshell" is supposed to drop on Senator The Obama's head.

Which... um... (looking around)...so far, no "boom."

So I am proposing we mount a "Bombshell Watch."

And thus, I make the first log entry:

6:13am PT — so far, no "boom"

It took awhile for anyone even to contact Obama’s great uncle’s family (the uncle is still alive too).

The internet, like the MSM, thrives on rumor and misinformation. Research is so “old way”.

UPDATE: There are some anomalies in the story so far: according to the rumors, the Rainbow/Push conference was supposed to be held at Trinity United, yet schedules posted at Hillbuzz and elsewhere do not show the event as taking place at the church. Further, the schedule shows Michelle Obama as a “Special Guest,” not a speaker. Last, if it wasn’t at the church, why would the DVD have been on sale there? I remain highly skeptical that this story will amount to anything.

If that's true, then the MSM has been sitting on this for quite a while.

That's what I think. There are probably very few in the MSM that went all the way back to 2004 and ordered DVD's from the Trinity Church even when all hell broke lose with Rev Wright. They couldn't bear to watch their anointed one blemished further in any way.

The Obamamaniacs quickly scrubbed the site of other embarrassing videos, no doubt. Trouble is, I'm sure there are quite a few of Michelle's rantings circulating around.

Does it seem at all plausible that anyone would go into a 30-plus minute racist rant during a "Woman's Luncheon" at the Sheraton Hotel, moderated by two mainstream local TV news reporters/anchors from the Chicago ABC affiliate? Consider also that Michelle Obama was listed only as a "Special Guest," not even listed as speaking (the Keynote Speaker for the luncheon was Jesse Jackson).

And then somehow this supposed rant was for sale on the Trinity United website. I think that the most common version of the story (put forth by Hillbuzz) is almost certainly false.

There have been three far-left candidates in my lifetime: McGovern, Gore and Kerry. They all lost.

Gore won the popular vote and lost by a few hundred votes in FL, which would have given him the election. Kerry barely lost in the electoral vote with Ohio being the deciding state. To say that Obama can't win ignores political reality.

Other factors that can change the results are the rapidly changing demographics of this country due to immigration and an Hispanic birth rate that is double the general population, and a weak, flawed Rep nominee who will have a hard time winning a significant portion of his base. McCain favors amnesty and believes in manmade global warming and the need to address it thru legislation, i.e., cap and trade. How Left wing are those ideas?

Here’s a sad thought...

I actually READ a transcipt of McCain’s speech from Tuesday night.... it was a pretty decent speech. Some really good things in there. Unfortunately, NO ONE heard it.. because, NO ONE could stomach watching that creepy-looking guy for more than 5 minutes.

MEANWHILE.... Normally solid fiscal consveratives gave rapt attention to the “new messiah” as he proclaimed “this moment” as the time when the nation began to care for the elderly, gave good-paying jobs to the job-less, and healed the planet. Man... who doesn’t like that?

The visuals in this election are KILLING us. When it’s this bad, it simply does not matter what the candidates say.
