Well, today is supposed to be the day the big, huge, bad, devastating, apocalyptic, {insert-dire-adjective-here} political "bombshell" is supposed to drop on Senator The Obama's head.

Which... um... (looking around)...so far, no "boom."

So I am proposing we mount a "Bombshell Watch."

And thus, I make the first log entry:

6:13am PT — so far, no "boom"

Okay, here’s a truly off-the-wall thought:

What if Hillary does concede, and Obama gets the nod, and THEN the tape is found and released.

Do you possibly think there may be a THIRD party who would have much to gain from a dishearted Hillary and a disgraced Obama?

If they don’t want the Wicked Witch, and they don’t want a potential racist, who would they (Democrats) pick?

If it indeed was a DVD from the church, you would think several outlets and people might have it. ABC news obviously obtained a lot of DVDs to check out for the good Rev.

The interesting thing in this day and time is that you don’t really need the “media” to unleash it. Anyone with access to it can upload it to the internet, and the now cliched “viral” nature will make it a news story in no time.

Also, you would think at least a few people bought the DVD off the website before anyone ever thought about the church or site.

That would be one inferno of an EBAY listing.

First of all, you are assuming something to exist for which there is little evidence at the moment. Secondly, if there were only a unique media record, and its existence "known" for several weeks now, at the very least either the name or a description of the person owning it would have come to light. Basic rule of detective work: no one can really keep a secret.

As it turns out, there may be multiple copies (if they exist at all): the event at which Ms. Obama's remarks are alleged to have been made was videotaped and the tapes offered for sale on the internet (before being taken down). This would imply the existence of a "master", at the very least. I am starting to believe that there is something to all of this, but the questions of "what?" and "how damaging?" remain quite open at this hour.
