Obama Has Another Farrakhan Problem

Barack Obama has a Farrakhan problem, and it is on his websites Faith page.
DNC Member and Illinois superdelegate Rev. Willie Barrow is old friend of Barack Obama. She is a member of his Faith Outreach Team. Barrow has known Obama for many years, and she has met his children and his wife. Obama, according to Barrow, also attended many of her broadcasts.
Rev. Willie Brown is also a close friend of Louis Farrakhan, anti-Semitic leader of the controversial Nation of Islam. In fact, Brown shares many of Farrakhans viewpoints. She is also an unapologetic defender of the anti-Semitic and homophobic Nation of Islam leader. But she is also a member of Obamas Faith Outreach Team. This raises questions about Obamas faith and about his campaigns choice of leadership. Should a President have close Farrakhan allies on his campaigns leadership team? Does Obamas Faith Outreach involve anti-Semitism and homophobia? Is this another actor in the Donnie McClurkin, Reverend God Damn America Jeremiah Wright, Reverend Moss, Reverend Meeks and Father Pfleger show of freaks from inner city Chicago?
Barrow is a staunch Farrakhan ally. In 2006 she condemned four members who resigned from the Illinois state Hate Crimes Commission she chairs. The four members who resigned are Jewish, and all four resigned as a result of Governor Blagojevichs refusal to remove Sister Claudette Muhammad, Minister of Protocal of the hateful National of Islam, from the Hate Crimes Commission. Serving with a Farrakhan ally on a Hate Crimes Board was impossible for the four members.

"Obama ally and advisor Rev. Barrow has deep and lasting ties to Farrakhan. She is quoted in a 1985 article of the Washington Post saying the following:
I love my brother, Minister Louis Farrakhan. The devil dont like it, Chicago dont like it, the world dont like it, but we love it.
She is also a superdelegate from Illinois.

There is not that much difference among the various “Black Liberation Theology” sects. Whether they call it “Nation of Islam”(which has nothing to do with the Islam of the Quran) or Rev Wright’s flavor, it’s all about blaming everything on the white guys

I took it both Willie Brown and Willie Barrow.
This close connection with farrakhan and the nation of islam is going to cook obama’s candidacy. No way. No way he can weasel out of his tendency towards these hate-America
folks and claim he doesn't agree.

Rev. Willie T. Barrow Biography
Nicknamed "The Little Warrior" for her tireless work as a social and spiritual activist, the Reverend Willie Barrow has spent her entire life on the front lines of the civil rights struggle. She grew up in Burton, Texas, where as a student in the 1940s she led a demonstration of rural African American schoolchildren against a segregated school system that refused them bus service because of their race. The success of that early campaign taught Barrow that determination and organization could bring about positive social change. Barrow attended Warner-Pacific Theological Seminary in Portland, Oregon, and as a student built a church in that city. After graduation, she was ordained as a minister and began her career as both a spiritual and social activist.
One of Barrow's key roles was as field organizer for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during the major civil rights marches and demonstrations of the 1950s and 1960s. In this capacity, Barrow was responsible for the organization of transportation, shelter, meetings and rallies for the demonstrators who came to participate in the marches and sit-ins during that era. Beginning in 1953, she served in this capacity and continued her field organizer duties through the legendary 1965 March on Selma, Alabama, where she trained new recruits, organized boycotts and demonstrations on King's behalf, and participated in voter registration drives. During the 1960s, Barrow was among the founding members of Operation BREADBASKET, a program that provided spiritual guidance and practical assistance to communities in need. In 1968, she led a three-person delegation to North Vietnam and participated in the negotiation of the Vietnam Peace Treaty.
Currently, Barrow serves as co-chairperson of the Rainbow-PUSH Coalition, the organization that grew out of Operation BREADBASKET. At the Coalition, she coordinates the activities of the national organization and serves as an aide to the Reverend Jesse Jackson, with whom she has shared a partnership since the first days of BREADBASKET. Reverend Barrow also serves as associate minister of the Vernon Park Church of God in Chicago.
Barrow has been honored with a doctor of divinity degree from Monrovia, Liberia, and a certificate in leadership from Harvard University. In September 1997, a street on Chicago's South Side was renamed in her honor. Earlier that year, the Reverend Willie Barrow Wellness Center was opened. The Center is a clinic housed within Doctor's Hospital that treats those with limited healthcare benefits. Together with the Barrow Health Mobile Clinic, these services bring affordable and accessible health care to needed areas in Chicago. Through these institutions, the legacy of Barrow continues to provide inspiration.
Barrow was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on August 19, 2002.
