Hillary Clinton is still in the presidential race, she said today, because "historically, it makes no sense" to quit, and added that, "Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June," making an odd comparison between the dead candidate and Barack Obama.
"People have been trying to push me out since Iowa," she said to the Argus Leader's editorial board.
Watch a live stream of the board meeting here:

Come on guys, everyone knows he uses the Nation of Islam for his protection.
Hmm. You may be right.
Take it to the convention! ‘Couldn’t happen to a lousier party.
Gosh, they wouldn’t use Ft Marcy a second time! Ron Brown “ Died” in Bosnia and JKF,jr off of Martha’s Vineyard, both planes on final approach and cleared to land.
This slip, and it is a major one, is a sign Hillary is very desperate. Also, she laughs too often and at wrong times. Drugs to keep her from freaking out?
So the Republican party isn't a "major political party"? Now that you mention it, that might explain a few things...
I noticed that too. She always has the innappropriate laughter thing going on.
And what Ron Brown said after rolling over can't be printed here... :)
Well Normy, I am totally glad to read your post. Hey, I love(d) Rush for many many years—sometimes the only voice of reason on the air (especially during the Clinton years).
It’s just that he is playing with the devil with his operation chaos. Hillary MUST be destroyed politically, and we can’t wipe out the best chance to make that happen. Dude will wipe himself out before the general election.
To me it’s just the most fundamental of all fundamentals in war and politics: Never look past an opponent, especially when the opponent has proven to be as formidable as the evil Clintons.
Gee, that was a sensible attack.
You're right, and therein resides the greater part of the malaise that effects our country: folks who either read between the lines or think so shallow that they cannot comprehend facts for what they are. It may have as much to do with poor education as it has to do with ill nature.
"Why does the Board keep refusing to grant me parole?
They ought to know I'd never harm a member of the ummah!"
It may have as much to do with poor education as it has to do with ill nature. It may have as much to do with poor education as it has to do with ill nature.
Or the assumption could have something to do with the perception of the speaker's character.
btt
Sure thing.
True, dat.
It's a combination of things. But for one example of its affect, look at the DU threads referenced here.
BTW, I saw on another thread that Clinton has already apologized for the remark. Interestingly, part of the apology had to do with her unfortunately making remarks about the Kennedys when Ted has just gone through his ordeal.
But I will say this, she was quick on getting in front of the issue (time will tell on that).
I seriously doubt that very many people who have been watching this campaign heven’t considered the possibility of the assassination of one or more of the candidates. Hillary’s reputation from Bubba’s White House days naturally makes her a bit more suspectible but it’s unlikely she would “order” a hit on anyone or that she has done so in the past.
It’s far more likely that someone, one of her workers, would decide to “help” her along with a tragic plane crash or perhaps an Arkancide or two and it’s unlikely she’d refuse such aid or investigate it very thoroughly. Like us, she’d have her suspicions but — unlike us— she’d keep quiet about them.
So, suppose Obama were to meet with an unfortunate accident. Hillary would be next in line if it happened prior to the convention. If the convention has already nominated Obama and his plane falls out of the sky his VP choice would probably be the first choice to take his place. Of course if he were already elected the VP would - by law - be the new President.
If something were to happen to Hillary it’s unlikely there would be much more than a public display of mourning and a bunch of new openings at the Secret Service.
McCain is an old man and the campaign has been hard on him. He could drop off from purely natural causes at almost any time. If it happened before the convention there would bwe a loud and maybe effective push for Ron Paul to take his place, after all, RP is still a candidate, which Thompson, Hunter and Huckabee are not. After the convention it’d probably go to his VP pick.
In any of these cases there’s be hell to pay for awhile, especially if the deed were accomplished with a gun. The Second Amendment would be repealed within a year and the people would be disarmed right after.
In the case of an Obama assassination though, there would be other, much more serious effects. Every black person in the world would feel it was just another lynching and that whitey was to blame. We’d have race wars on our hands from one end of this country to the other. Not only that, but a significant number of Muslims would also go to war on another front simply because of his middle name. These wars wouldn’t be fought in the deserts of the Middle East either, they’d go on in what would soon become the deserts of New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Detroit... Need I go on? The United States of Americs would simply disunite and balkanize into several separate, weaker countries like Europe has always been.
All this is pure conjecture of course but it seems logical. If we are to avoid it we need to either elect the candidate of the Republican party or settle in for several years of socialistic rule probably followed by a whole list of other bad things generally brought on by tyrannical Socialists.
