ABC News
Hundreds of legal and illegal immigrants in Arizona are being sent back to their home countries, sometimes against their will, for medical treatment because they lack insurance.
In some cases, the FBI and police, responding to allegations of kidnapping, have been called in to halt such forcible removals, according to patients' lawyers. In one recent case, a sick baby who is a U.S. citizen born to an illegal immigrant was being transferred by helicopter to a waiting air ambulance for a flight to a hospital in Mexico when Tucson police intervened and brought the child back to the hospital.
We have enough uninsured legal citizens who need help.
If I had my way, I would station ICE agents at every major hospital that took public funds. These agents would verify the immigration status of anyone who lacks means to pay before they receive care should they not require emergency treatment and immediately deport those who cannot prove they are in the USA legally.
If a person needed emergency care, the check would come after the care was rendered, as long as court rulings mandating emergency care are in place.
vs. the tens of thousands of Americans who forgo treatment or are sent home because the beds are filled with illegal aliens.
Hell yes it is and while we are at it we can pay for those ill people from Latvia, Malawi, Libya, Jordan and anyone else who wants to come in. We have more than enough money growing on the trees so it shouldn’t be a probem.
Good Lord, we go on and on and on about this.
Will anybody ever shame the many thousands of American tourists who go to Mexico every hour into realizing that their $$ support that foul kleptocracy? We had concerts and daily dinosaur media shaming to assure the overthrow of the Evil White People in South Africa. Where are those voices now? Huh? Anyone? Anyone?
Ask any doctor or nurse who works in a hospital in a border state. It is common practice for Mexican immigrants to bring their sick relatives across the border and dump them in American hospitals, from which, by current law, they cannot be removed.
If these patients are chronically ill, they cannot be discharged, ever, and each of them costs the hospital millions.
I call b.s. on this. The U.S. is not deporting legal immigrants.
I like your train of thought. You cut through the blah-bleep and make more sense than the dopes on capitol hill. You have my vote./Just Asking - seoul62........
American hospitals forced to do the job the DHS refuses to do.

Some Americans travel to Mexico for medical care because it is less expensive.
When Americans travel to Mexico for medical care- they pay for thier own care. Trust me- the Mexican people are not expected to pay for the medical bills for Americans. Nor would they be willing to.
There was an ambulance at my neighbors house. I asked him what was going on, he told me that his mother-in-law was having an asthma attack and that because they dont have insurance that this was the best way to get her help. Mind you these people all drive new expensive cars.
You are exactly right....I for one would not give them a dime of my hard-earned cash....
That seems to be the message that is being sent....and the end result....
I have had fantastic times in Cabo and Cozumel. Never again, though — at least without a major sea change in their government. Won’t give one more (increasingly devalued) dollar to that country by choice.
This appears a deliberate, dark ploy to pit pro-lifers against U.S. sovereignty...the underlying pitch is ‘beware racist eugenics’ ...
If Mexico is such a fine country (not in need of a Boston Tea Party) then where are its hospitals? Where are its universities?
Inquiring taxpayer minds want to know.
