Just saw Maxine Waters trying to grill the oil company execs and end up falling flat on her well made-up face. She threatened to nationalize the oil industry, and admitted that she was a liberal and a socialist (shocking!) Shep Smith cut to the Fox reporter and asked how the remark about nationalization went with the execs. The reporter said that the chairman of Shell responded by comparing Maxine to Hugo Chavez. I'm loving it.

It really was funny. I was focused more on her looking sideways for a staffer to bail her out. Everyone left her hanging.
Yeah, that'll make for a more efficient and cost effective industry..saving consumers and taxpayers millions of dollars. < /sarcasm>
Every time I think their incredible stupidity has reached its zenith they show me they have just begun to explore the potential of their depravity.
Shell is actually both a UK company and a Dutch company. They have joint management.

Waters couldn’t even say the word “nationalize” never mind ever get it done.

Her voting district epitomizes everything that Obamanation hates about whitey only from black folks.
Based on the Fox News interview I saw, I am now conviced that Waters is the bumbest member of Congress, elected by the dumbest consituency, in the United States. And that’s a whole heap to say about that collection of characters.
That translates into the bumbest of the bumb. In fact, the way that she lost her way in a simpleton political statement on national TV, and stumbled over her statement, I think that she needs to lay off of the mind altering stuff, big time.... or it could be her IQ. I challenge anyone on the left to take up a cause to defend this absolute idiot or call me a racist.
The old biddie would have to be able to read and understand Flemish(Dutch) to know that. And given her understanding of the English language, and basic intelligence; that ain’t gonna happen.
There is a direct correlation as to why the leaders of many African nations have historically led their nations into the third world of life.
A lot of that has to do with how they view life and think such as the statement by Maxine Waters and many Democrats about nationalizing any American business.
I do not give a rats @ss about the color of Obama’s skin ( I support J C Watts for VP) but his lack of experience and his many naivete comments tell me he could be another Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe wannabe or God forbid an educated Maxine Waters in disguise.
I view Obama as the most dangerous man in America and feel like he would be no better as President than an elementary school student.
At least the elementary school student would not have trained under the Saul Alinsky umbrella and sat for twenty years in a church led by a race baiting and enabling demagogue.

Theoretically government could “take” an oil company on the grounds of public good. Truman threatened to nationalize the railroads during the Korean War because of labor troubles.
However the 5th Amendment prohibits “taking” without just compensation. But if it got to the point where Maxine nationalizes oil companies, the constitution is meaningless anyway.
