There’s nothing in John McCain’s record to suggest he’ll do the right thing or the smart thing. My money’s on Charlie Crist being the pick. And what an atrocious pick he’ll be.
The fact that he even has this metrosexual putz on his short list speaks volumes.
It seems too soon for Jindal ... he could be an excellent presidential contender in another 4 or 8 years, but it might be better to allow him to amass more experience and accomplishment as a governor before putting his name forward on a presidential ticket.
I’ll say it again: NO ONE serious about a future in politics will accept being Juanito’s running mate.
what about Haley Barbour?
Winkin’, Blinkin’ and Nod one night
Sailed off in a wooden shoe,
Yawn....
I see his manservant, Lindsay Graham, is on the list.
As a Floridian I can verify that The Tan Man is in no way qualified to be president. To me, this is the most important consideration in selecting a VP. Given McQueeg’s age and health history, there’s a good chance that his VP will become POTUS. Among these three, Romney is the only one ready on day one.
The only way I would ever vote for McCain is if he picked John Bolton for VP.
I’ve got nothing about gray hair (I’m getting there myself!), and I hate to have someone’s looks as a qualifier -—— BUT -— having two white-heads on the ticket just wouldn’t have an appeal, especially if the /dems will make age an issue.
Charlie Crist would be a nightmare. RINO big time, but he has a way of fooling some conservatives.
A few of many reasons why I don’t like Charlie Crist in my next post.
Bobby Jindal would be a great choice, and seems to become more and more conservative as he matures. Bobby Jindal is very, very pro-life. btw, Rush Limbaugh likes Bobby Jindal among others.
You can tell Senator McCain how you feel:

I like Governor Bobby Jindal, Sen. John Thune, Governor Palin and Rob Portman for VP, and a few others.
Does anyone really believe he is bringing three VP possibles to his ranch for a weekend, at the same time? That would be very uncomfortable for all of them. What this tells me is none of them (nor any of the other guests) remain under consideration. It sounds like he is bringing a team together to talk about the fall campaign - strategy, etc.
My only request is that he not nominate Huckabee.
Mike Ditka.
Jindahl might be very good...some day. He just became Louisiana’s Governor. He needs a chance to get some good experience in that office under his belt before he moves on to an office like this.
Crist — I don’t know much about him at all, except that he’s been sniping with our Governor (Sonny Perdue) over the amount of water Georgia has been releasing to Florida and Alabama during the drought. The people of Georgia are having to cut back, jobs are being lost...and Crist is worried about endangered mussels in Appalachiacola Bay, or wherever the heck they are.
Of the three, I prefer Romney. He has a solid management resume, and the fact that he is a Mormon really doesn’t bother me (after all, he would be commander-in-chief, not proselytizer-in-chief). I would be far more concerned if he were a Muslim, because I would always wonder if there were any hidden ties to extremists. I’m a bit concerned about his history of shifting positions, but given the choices here...
I would love to see McCain tap Michael Steele.
I hope there are more!
I was hoping for some different options for VP but.......check out www.reluctantrepublicansformccain.com
