Washington-NASA has scheduled a media teleconference Wednesday, May 14, at 1 p.m. EDT, to announce the discovery of an object in our Galaxy astronomers have been hunting for more than 50 years.

Isn't it amazing that they always find it in the last place that they looked? If they had looked there first, it wouldn't have taken them 50 years, would it... Let's hope that they don't misplace it again...

Great thread! If it’s the X-Ray telescope that made the discovery, they were looking further out than our solar system. Prolly looking for black holes & other x-ray emitters.
