With two big Fox News interviews this week--Obama/ Wallace last Sunday, and Clinton/ O'Reilly this Wednesday--progressive Democrats aren't likely to be pleased that the party's candidates are spending so much time on Rupert Murdoch's cable network.
So right after the news broke of Clinton's upcoming appearance on "The O'Reilly Factor," I caught up with Daily Kos founder Markos Moulitsas to get his take.
"Democrats are being idiotic by going on that network," Moulitsas said by phone. "Its the sort of stupidity youre not going to see from John McCain."
Indeed, Moulitsas said that Daily Kos is a site that's hostile to Republicans in the same way that he believes Fox News is toward Democrats. And Moulitsas added that starting something like Chris Wallace's "Obama Watch," wouldn't work on the Republicans.
"You think if I started taunting McCain hed go on Daily Kos," he asked? "Of course not."
"Clinton going on OReilly, at the end of the day, shows shell do anything in the pursuit of power," Moulitsas said. "Its an ugly trait."
(Not surprisingly, Wallace offered me the opposite take last December).
Even McCain's not crazy enough to deal with those loonies at the Kos. At least I hope he's not.
BOR’s an idiot.
dailykooks are jealous. Clinton has abandoned them long time ago since they were clearly in tank with Obama; Obama is now on the verge of abandoning them since he believes they have no choice to stick with him, and he needs to go after moderates/conservatives.
Markos is going to do a Dean scream soon.
2nd that. I quit watching long ago, when his head expanded to a size that the studio could no longer accommodate.
He’s a bit full of himself, and of his rocker, to compare his site to Foxnews. Professional journalists from both sides of the political aisle with top ratings v. a deranged hyperbiased clown and a computer.
Oh, I don't know...sometimes I think McCain believes his version of the "Republican tent" is big enough even for loons like KOS--everybody's welcome doncha know!
My fondest wish is for the Democrats to take every piece of advice DailyKos offers.
Moulitsas seems to think his vitriol-filled rant site is somehow equivalent to a major international news organization. Just more evidence that he’s not able to recognize reality. CNN, MSNBC, maybe lefty equivalents to FNC. DailyKos? Not even close.
Juan's kept more than busy enough, 24/7, fumblingly attempting to deal with his own unique, signature sorts of stupidity, thanks all the same for asking. ;)
“Markos is going to do a Dean scream soon.”
It’s true. All the money that the nutroots poured into Obambi is going up in smoke as he implodes. Moreover, when Clinton wins, Kos is going to have no influence.
All that George Soros money down the drain again. tsk tsk...
I really doubt more than 5% of the USA has heard of dailykos.. And he’s saying.. um, that he’s comparable to Foxnews in stature somehow?
The out-of-context quotes from a black preacher and pictures of a scantily clad Miley Cyrus, that's what matters to the sheeple.
Does Markos make anyone else’s gaydar go off?
Hey, by the way, what are you going to do with your screen name if obama loses either the nomination or the general?
Just curious.
And which party has been in control of Congress for more that a year now?!?!??!
Would you be kind enough to place the words of the black preacher in their proper context, please?
“The out-of-context quotes from a black preacher and pictures of a scantily clad Miley Cyrus, that’s what matters to the sheeple. “
Well furry, you don’t mind if we try to win do you?
Obambi needs to explain why he was a member of Wright’s church for 20 years and only now denounces his left wing, racist, anti American views. Could it be he’s an opportunist, showing one face to blacks and another to whites?
