Why conservatives should support Hillary Clinton for President

Posted on 04/25/2008 12:59:01 AM PDT by Imperial Warrior

If someone told me in the 1990's that I, an outspoken and vehement opponent of the Clintons would now be endorsing Hillary Clinton for President of the United States, I would have laughed in their face at the absolute absurdity of the notion. But here I am now, a staunch conservative, joining conservatives Ann Coulter and Bill Cunningham among others in endorsing Hillary Rodham Clinton for President. How could this be? As absurd as the notion that I would someday endorse Hillary Clinton for President over the Republican nominee is the equally absurd notion that barely a decade after one of the most corrupt Presidential administrations in history that the Republican Party flush with electoral victories, ample popular support, and control of all three branches of the federal government would now be on its knees, beaten, defeated and wandering the landscape lacking purpose, direction, and intestinal fortitude begging for scraps at the liberal table of power they handed over to the political opposition and doing their damnedest to emulate or surpass the liberal policies they supposedly exist to counter and defeat.

To wit the assembled "braintrust" of the national Republican Party beltway political establishment chooses among all its possible candidates for President the single individual that embodies the epitomy of surrender, concession, and appeasement to liberalism and a disloyalty to both party and constituent base, ie: John "Amnista" McCain, the reliable old backstabber and bosom buddy of the most extreme liberals in the federal government. By doing this, the RNC has sent a clear and unequivocal signal to the rank and file Republican voter base that they can go screw themselves and shove their conservative ideological agenda. So what we have in reality are three liberals running for President including the Republican candidate who hates his own. Therefore, conservatism, the only reason most Republicans, conservatives, and conservative libertarians and independents remained with the Republican Party is now gone.

So why Hillary Clinton, isn't she worse than John McCain and almost as bad as Barack Obama? Well, considering that John McCain is an unstable, unreliable backstabbing RINO ally of the worst of the worst liberal trash in the Senate and Congress and has a long record of conspiring and actively working against his own; I cannot say that this two-bit traitorous fraud is operatively any "better" than Democrats Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton, whom McCain has referred to as his "honorable and distinguished" Senate colleagues while pissing and crapping on conservatives and fellow Republicans, even those who defend and are later rewarded with condemnation from him along with his liberal allies.

But still why should conservatives support a Hillary Clinton ticket instead of a John McCain one? Here's why. First, if Republicans line up to support this backstabbing RINO jerk, the message that the RINO infested Republican Party beltway establishment will receive is that the Republican voter base is so desperate, defeatist, and despirited that it will accept a big government liberal phony in conservative clothing no different from a liberal Democrat instead of bonafide genuine conservatives who pursue a limited, small government, Constitutional originalist, free market agenda. Furthermore, by supporting a flagrant opponent of conservatives and conservatism, not only will more RINO frauds be put forth for political office, conservatives will be admitting that conservatism itself is worthless and invalid, and future Republican politicians would be right in mocking and condemning it. Lastly, just by putting a clueless Republican liberal dope dressed in conservative clothing in office only to be savaged, betrayed, and eventually torn to pieces by his "liberal buddies" for the sake of their own party's future political fortunes, will showcase the failure not of stupid liberal policies pursued by a Republican President or the folly of surrounding oneself with the political opposition, but simply the failure of Republicans as a party period. A McCain Presidency will see not only the continued betrayal of conservatives and rank and file Republicans but the seizure of political power by liberals and Democrats using a clueless and unstable megalomaniac who hates his own party as a useful idiot to propel their own agenda on his watch, under his nose, and our dime.

However, by supporting Hillary Clinton, Republicans and conservatives would be sending an unequivocal message to the treasonous backstabbing RINO liberal scum that have run the Republican Party into the ground, destroyed the conservative agenda, and abandoned and abused their base that they will no longer be rewarded with power or succeed in peddling more phony liberal frauds as conservatives as a solution to jackbooted, Marxist, big government socialism when they are on the same page. Furthermore, by supporting Hillary Clinton, the devil we know instead of Barack "Hamas" Obama, Republicans and conservatives will be sending the Democrats a signal that if you want our votes, crossover or otherwise, do not put forth an Islamoracist extremist who associates and surrounds himself with the most vile and despicable of racists, race separatists, black supremacists, anti-Semites, America haters, and violence espousing hatemongers.

In short again, supporting Hillary Clinton, sends a message to the Republican Party that betrayal, backstabbing, and abandonment will not be tolerated and to the Democrat Party that foaming at the mouth racists and America hating extremists will be rejected out of hand. If Hillary Clinton is elected both the clueless and the extreme will have to reevaluate the kinds of individuals they choose to field as candidates for President of the United States. Many believe that with the ongoing "war" within the Democrat Party that John McCain is a shoe-in and the RINO infested RNC have it made. They are dead wrong. One more stupid, ungrateful, and gutless denunciation by McCain or his RINO cabal of other Republicans and conservative leaders and this dope will have visited upon himself the very thing he has visited upon loyal Republicans and conservatives for many, many years: abandonment and rejection of him and the beltway Republican establishment that backs him. I believe a Hillary Clinton Presidency would both discredit the worthless RINO infested RNC beltway blowhards and restore the momentum of the conservative movement while at the same time discrediting the extremist, vile, hate-filled race infused agenda of the current DNC who prefer an abject race baiting America hater like Obama to a comparatively normal far-flung leftist like Hillary.

However, in the final analysis, the one and only thing that brings some conservatives to the sad conclusion that it would be better for a liberal Democrat like Hillary Clinton to win the Presidency instead of the Republican candidate is that the Republican in question is so horrible and detrimental to the future of conservatism and sovereign Constitutional government that his failure as well as that of the greedy, self-serving, and treasonous political movement behind him is more important to achieve than a single elective office albeit the most major one. That blame lies squarely with the Republican Party establishment itself and its disgusting failure to support its own base when its loyal base, not the liberals they cower and cater to, made it possible for them to wield such political power in the first place.

It’s the judges, stupid..

Even McCain wouldn’t do as much damage to our national defense as Obama or Clinton.

Sad reason to vote McCain but anybody that thinks voters are going to flock to the conservative movement because of the failures of a liberal presidency needs to reexamine the fact that not only was Bill Clinton re-elected he is running for 8 MORE years!

This disaster we are in is not Bush's fault of McCain's fault or Hillary's fault. It's our fault as conservatives for not pushing our issues and teaching others our principles!

Well, I don’t know if I really did or not. I wanted him to though. I sure as h*** didn’t think it would go to McCain. This country is for sale to the highest bidder I guess.

Might as well close up shop and clear some space for another Mall and a wal-mart or two so the locals will have someplace to work.

I didn't want McCain either, he was way down on my list, but the entire country was not going to vote for a southern Baptist preacher. Sorry if I have insulted your religion, but that is the truth. The media chose McCain for us and that is seriously bad!

I have doubts about the Mormon religion but I would have voted for Romney. I donated to Thompson and would have liked Hunter to have done better.

We are stuck with McCain and I will vote for him because the alternative gives me nightmares.

I don't like McCain, but you'd have to be stupid to support Hillary. She's our worst enemy. At least if Obamanation is elected, he'll go in green and have to spend his first term screwing up and figuring out how things work.

Shrillarly will hit the ground running.

Any conservative who supports her is an absolute fool.

Supporting Hillary! is mistake. If McCain is so bad that you can’t vote for him (and he’s d@mn near that bad - we won’t see the worst until AFTER the convention), vote for Nader or leave the Presidential line of the ballot blank.

From Neal Boortz
A DIFFERENT VIEW OF THE ELECTION

Now I don't really know where this came from, but several friends have shared it with me. This purports to be a view of the American election as reported in Dutch newspaper.

‘We in Denmark cannot figure out why you are even bothering to hold an election.
On one side, you have a lawyer who is married to a lawyer, and a lawyer who is married to a lawyer.
On the other side, you have a true war hero married to a blonde with a huge chest who owns a beer distributorship.
Is there a contest here?’

Actually ... they have a point.
****

I find this pretty compelling, also.

Guess I have a different idea of “best”. Best must be on the plus side of the line McCain is on the minus side of the line but not as far as Hillbama. Consequently he can never be “best’ to me on the least worst.

And how would a bunch of toasted Democrat parasite nests hurt conservatism, exactly?

You do have a good point. The Clintons' Chinese allies might nuke San Diego and Houston, but if they get San Francisco and Los Angeles too (except the wind there blows over Republican Riverside and San Bernadino).

Now as to McCain -- you can bet that he will make sure the Navy keeps getting supercarriers -- cuz he want's one named after him.

As to having a Republican comeback -- how long was FDR and his Democrats in power?

God granted us James Madison and I wish he was here today. Limited government. 10th Amendment. It is really simple.

Despite the negatives, I wish we would have a new constitutional convention. At the end of the day, my guess is that the hippies and the conservatives would unite on limited government. No one likes over-arching powers and the fools that participate.

If you are an ice cream maker and the public doesn’t buy the flavor you are making, you start making the flavors your competitor makes that are selling.

There's that funny thing called principle that matters. If every person around you is a fascist and thinks torching jews is cool, you can join in the lynching or say "this is wrong" and not participate.

Some ice cream flavors are unpalatable: when do you say no?

I agree with you. I am so sick of John McCain. How can any conservative support a jerk like him. He continues to throw his own party “under the bus” to pander to the liberal crowd.

I don’t know what to do, but I will not vote for McCain.

driftless2 and everyone else who replied; my post was an intellectual political thought experiment as well as a consideration of the deplorable and sorry state of the national Republican Party apparatus, now a mirror image ideologically and politically of the left-wing socialist political opposition the Republican Party supposedly exists to counter and defeat. The harsh reality is that the candidate that the RINO infested, broken, corrupt, and diseased RNC has chosen and backed to the hilt is the best ally and bosom buddy of the left-wing extremist liberal Democrats running against him and as well as all other Republicans nationwide. The outrage, anger, and vulgarity directed at me for this post should be directed to the RNC beltway machine’s RINOcrat candidate John McCain who has repeatedly denounced, condemned, and thrown Republicans and conservatives under the bus to defend Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton he has previously referred to as honorable and distinguished Senate colleagues, and in Hillary’s case well qualified to be President of the United States. That’s from McCain’s very own mouth, not mine. Furthermore, it was McCain who rushed to the defense of Barack Obama and his lunatic asylum racist preacher by slamming the North Carolina Republicans for wisely linking Barack Obama to racist extremism and horrible judgement and likewise those who eagerly endorse him. Both McCain’s statement endorsing Hillary Clinton as well qualified to lead the nation as President and the vehement denunciation of Republicans and conservatives for playing dirty gutter politics beneath contempt by running ads about Obama’s racist and extemist associations will be used by the Democrats against McCain and the Republicans in political ads to defeat him and attack the entire Republican Party. Stupid just handed them free ads as well as the ammunition with which to attack him and the Republican Party as a whole with.

No matter who wins the 2008 election, a stinking liberal will win. If by some miracle McCain wins, he will immediately turn around, embrace the most extreme liberals in the entire federal government as has been his proclivity throughout his political career and shove the knife deep in the back of all those who supported him out of fear, desperation, resignation, and a now meaningless party label. I however will not be among those supporting this phony backstabbing SOB, as his latest slam against his own party and siding with the Democrats and liberal media opposition against his own was the last GD straw. McCain is a selfish, petty, unstable, pompous, megalomaniacal jackass who belongs in the party of the jackass where he feels more at home and shares similar political ideology. Supporting McCain is supporting an attack on conservatism and a leftist political agenda dedicated to the abolition of small, limited, sovereign, Constitutionally based, capitalistic free enterprise government based on individual liberty and the rule of law, all of which Senator Juan McAmnesty has struggled to bring down with the help of his filthy liberal pals in the Senate. Because the GD, despicable national Republican Party beltway RINO establishment has declared open war on its own conservative base and done everything in its power to destroy and discredit conservatives and conservatism at every turn, my hope is that they will be rewarded for their filthy backstabbing treason by the kind of crushing defeat they so richly deserve. Whether that be in the form of Hillary Clinton, the lesbocommunist or Barack Obama, the Islamoracist is immaterial since it is going to happen anyway. If we are “lucky” the winner will be the old liberal hag. If we are unlucky, the winner will be the younger extremist racist because Juan McAmnesty isn’t going to.

McCain denounced, attacked, assailed, and attempted to “distance” himself from the North Carolina Republicans as he has done on other occasions for rightfully questioning and criticizing Obama’s vile racist and extremist personal associations of choice not because he believes such criticism is genuinely out of bounds but because McCain believes such debate “threatens” the success of his own campaign. Unfortunately for this moron and his clueless idiot supporters, he has no campaign, no money, no large, secure loyal base of political support, no strategy, and no ammunition, but ample amounts of vulnerabilities. McCain’s only “appeal” is that he is not Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama even though McCain does not distance himself from these two, only fellow Republicans and conservatives. In North Carolina, Barack Obama is running around the clock saturation political ads addressing average voter concerns: skyrocketing gas and food prices, an expensive foreign war with no end in sight, job losses, and widespread economic uncertainty. To a lesser extent, Hillary Clinton is naturally doing the same thing. Of course this is pure politics, however John McCain is doing nothing whatsoever to address the dire concerns of voters. Instead he spends his time pissing down the backs of fellow Republicans and those who support him while defending and praising the political opposition. So in the final analysis anyone with any sense would wonder if John McCain actually wanted to lose the election of if the Republican Party establishment had been infiltrated and taken over by the political opposition by the suicidally stupid way it conducts its affairs and runs its campaigns. On election day, I will be supporting conservative Republicans and libertarians against Democrats and liberal socialists regardless of the stupid antics of the out of touch RINO infested Republican Party beltway establishment and their walking dead loser who needs to butt out and keep his big fat stupid mouth shut about how genuine Republican conservatives, not RINO frauds like him, run their own damn campaigns.

Principles are not worth a warm pitcher os spit. The ability to persuade the people who have no principles is the only thing that counts.

Even in the USA principled people have little power. Those that believe in the principles of the left do not control who governs this nation. Those that believe in the principles of the right do not control who governs this nation.

It is the people with out principles that sometimes suport the left and then other times support the right that determine who governs this nation. The power to decide is in the hands of the swing voters who have no principles.

Even principles on paper are worthless. The constitution does not even contain the word abortion, but years ago a majority of the members of the Supreme court said it did and made abortion a constitutional right... not subject to laws written by the people. So the constitution is what ever the judges say it is.

But that has nearly always been true. During the Jefferson administration the Supreme court ruled in Marbury vs Madison that the man that wrote the constitution did not know what it said. Only the 9 justices of the supreme court could know what it said. The Supreme court asked, How could Madison know what the constitution says.. he only wrote it. Madison was not a justice on the court, like they were, so how could he know what the contitution says.

Principles are what lets me sleep at night and be happy with who I see. If you choose to lead life without them, so be it. If everything in your life depends on just selling your soul and electing someone, go for it. I will teach my kids otherwise.
