MIKE REAGAN just threw McCain under the bus and drove over him.
Michael Reagan Show ^ | 04/24/08 | self

Posted on 04/24/2008 3:26:14 PM PDT by RadioCirca1970

Mike Reagan just said he wouldn't campaign for John McCain. Michael is disgusted that he would go to New Orleans and condemn the Federal Government for inaction. He also called the people in NOLA who wouldn't step up and accept responsibility losers. He was referring to Nagin and Co.

He said McCain is an idiot.

He’s hoping to get Democrat and independent voters who do not like Bush.

I vote for conservatives; McCain isn’t one, he’s a total fake, so I can’t vote in that race.

In the first mid-term election, I don’t think the incumbents do too bad. That depends though. What dynamics are in play.

If Obama or Hillary were in and their policies sucked to high heavens, and they had an effective opposition that capitalized on it, they would lose seats. Those seats would be won by folks who disagreed with them, Conservatives.

If McCain was in power and there was little resistance to anything he did, I shudder to think what we would see. We could see a shift in party leadership, but that shift would likely be facilitated by the importing of a whole slew of liberal House and Senate members who agreed with McCain policy. If not we could see seats won by more liberal Democrats, either scenario a real loser for Conservatives.

>>If McCain was in power and there was little resistance to anything he did, I shudder to think what we would see.<<

I think the congress’s historically low favorable rating is partly due to the fact that congress has not “done something.” Under McCain, congress could pass some very harmful laws. Would that make the favorable rating go up?

If they were bad enough, you know darn well the media would slant it as Congress and the President finally working together. I’m betting you’d see a real love-fest as the media fauned on McCain and Congress, the best working relationship of our generation. (This would be just the start of the superlatives)

Yes, Congress’ ratings would go up. It would essentially cease to matter who was in the majority in Congress. The liberals would own both parties. There wouldn’t be a dimes worth of difference no matter who was the majority at that point.

Okay, you had to go point that out didn’t you.

There are probably two Senators who are conservative. I don’t know exactly how many House members are, but I don’t think it’s a big number.

Only two Senators voted against confirming Ginsberg. McCain wasn’t one of them.

He has been a successful radio host for many years now, and that's not because some radio station is charitable. If he wasn't any good (ratings), he'd be gone. You are awfully presumptious.

Just because he's popular doesn't mean he's intelligent, informed, or correct. This is the argumentum ad popularum logical fallacy.

Being a radio talk show host just means you can be interesting to listen to; it doesn't mean you know what you're talking about.

I heard Bush caused that sinkhole in I-70 that opened up today near Frederick, MD.

Nope too small. Bush is only interested things that explode that kill lots of people! Got it from hanging out his cousins

No, you have reading comprehension problems. Or, perhaps I need to use small words and type slowly.

I’m reluctantly voting for McCain this year, as I’m not willing to play politics (or, as you think of it, principles) with war.

We have a war we need to finish in Iraq. If it isn’t done at the end of a McCain presidency, it won’t ever be done.

Interesting you pulled quotes from two different posts.

I’m not sure if I should take you seriously or not, as I question anyone who thinks bombing the entire ME is a good idea.

Anyway, Senator McCain is most definitely way too liberal on a lot of issues. I do think he’ll continue to prosecute the WOT, though.

Unlike either of the Democrats. Do I like it? No.

I wouldn’t have liked a lot of President Roosevelt’s policies, either. However, I probably would have voted for him, also.

Those McCain links are alarming.

However, that falcon link is very interesting. Lets hope it gets off the ground.
