Smacking Down the YouTube Terrorists (A little help needed)

So you think you're too old, too fat, too something to do anything against the terrorists?  I've got news for you...  if you'll give me 10 minutes out of your day, every day, I can show you how you can really make a difference....

Here's the deal... Terrorists post snuff videos, sniper videos, calls for jihad and all manner of nasty stuff on the internet in order to lure more young skulls full of mush into working for or with them.  A lot of these videos are hosted at YouTube, of all places.  YouTube's policy is that they will only remove offensive videos if those videos are flagged by the YouTube community as offensive.  That's where you and I come in...  We need 100 people who will give us 10 minutes a day to simply sign in to YouTube and flag videos.  You don't even have to watch them - in fact, in most cases, I'd recommend that you NOT watch them.   If we flood YouTube with flagged videos, they WILL remove them.  So will you help?  (Please?) 

Here are the steps:

#1) If you don't have a YouTube account, go sign up for one.  You don't have to use it for anything but this.

#2)  Click one of the links below, let the video start and then click the pause button on the player so you don't have to actually watch the propaganda.

#3)  Below the video, click "Flag as inappropriate."

#4)  Choose "promotes hatred or violence"

#5)  Where it says "please indicate the group attacked" choose National Origin.

#6)  Where it says "provide additional information....." type or copy/paste in the below statement.

Providing services to terrorists violates executive orders 12947 and 13224.

Here is my updated version which I add to the comment section. It will probably be removed because it is hateful speech, while it takes 100 "flags" to have their disgusting videos removed. These videos are probably viewed many times before they actually get pulled by YouTube, and lots of the people leaving comments are from Iran and Iraq. I'll probably loose my account. But I'm willing to sacrifice my access to David Cook videos for the cause!

You're helping Google when you visit their site raising the number of hits which translates into revenue from their advertisers. Count me out.

As a veteran, I really appreciate you standing up for the troops. After all, who would want to act against people glorifying the killing of American soldiers if it might get in the way of some petty political concern?

But you're free to form that opinion of it if you want, regardless how wrong you may be.

I always point out how the video has been clipped to only show the attack not the results(like those pesky and very alive Americans ready to kick ass)

I think I'm going to make use of that line of attack, too. A buddy of mine took an IED to his Humvee last year and it rang his chimes (and screwed up the tubes he had put in his ears when he was a little kid) but he and his gunner exited the vehicle with their rifles and they were spoling for a fight. My buddy told his Mom he'd never been that angry before and he just wanted to find the guy who set the IED and rip his ears off.

I get the impression that those warnings appear after a certain number of people have flagged a video, and it doesn't mean that the video is going to stay or that no one can flag it anymore. It probably means the video is on deathwatch. :-)

First, I asked you what you have DONE to stop jihad today, not what you've whined about from the cheap seats.

Second, are you actually alleging that the folks at YouTube knowingly host jihadist videos? Do you actually believe that they can police all content without any input from users?

Yes - flagging is not the same thing as commenting. If you are commenting they will make you input code after a certain number to make sure you are not a spammer.

Flagging is different. See under the video where it says “flag”? :-) on the right hand side?

Youtube is a useful site for some things. They cannot review everything that gets put up. Taking a passive aggressive stance does nothing to stop the people that are already there taking advantage of the fact that youtube mods can’t catch EVERYTHING without our help.
