Here's the deal... Terrorists post snuff videos, sniper videos, calls for jihad and all manner of nasty stuff on the internet in order to lure more young skulls full of mush into working for or with them. A lot of these videos are hosted at YouTube, of all places. YouTube's policy is that they will only remove offensive videos if those videos are flagged by the YouTube community as offensive. That's where you and I come in... We need 100 people who will give us 10 minutes a day to simply sign in to YouTube and flag videos. You don't even have to watch them - in fact, in most cases, I'd recommend that you NOT watch them. If we flood YouTube with flagged videos, they WILL remove them. So will you help? (Please?)
Here are the steps:
#1) If you don't have a YouTube account, go sign up for one. You don't have to use it for anything but this.
#2) Click one of the links below, let the video start and then click the pause button on the player so you don't have to actually watch the propaganda.
#3) Below the video, click "Flag as inappropriate."
#4) Choose "promotes hatred or violence"
#5) Where it says "please indicate the group attacked" choose National Origin.
#6) Where it says "provide additional information....." type or copy/paste in the below statement.
Providing services to terrorists violates executive orders 12947 and 13224.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to protect and defend my country. Please keep me posted as new koranimal videos come in. Thanks.
Got SMACK?
Done...:-)
You’re doing a great job. {{{{Star}}}}
I posted so many comments that You tube made me fill out a Bot tester to make sure I wasn’t a responding program.
Hey, J, we’re smacking down the jihadis on Youtube.
Sometimes we might need translating, can you help us, Sir?
cobra, I’m with you on tonight’s vids, got ‘er dun.
Thanks BB!!
Thanks TSR! Appreciate the help!
Thanks buford!
I’ve missed seeing ya around ES! :-) How are ya?
It’s when you click a Google ad that they get paid. Viewing an ad generates no revenue for them. Don’t click an ad, no money gets transferred.
Google put a mechanism in Youtube where people like us can ask them to take down offensive material (they didn’t have to do that), and the method described here does that and works without giving them a penny.
I distrust Google as you do and worry that they will get too much power. But, at least, there is a way to get bad stuff off Youtube. And I must emphasize, if you don’t click a Google ad they don’t get paid. They may use unique pageviews in their advertising to tell ad customers how effective their product is (advertising their services costs them money), but Google gets no money unless there is a clickthrough.
I’m fine. BTW, you do a better job of explaining the smackdown than the originating site does. :)
Here’s a tip....
protest all the videos posted by the user...
You can find them by looking for “more video’s from Allah FUBAR”
That phillips88 is a case, no? He’s not Iraqi or even Arab, probably Berkeley.
Youtube sent me a hotmail notice of your reply to me. I need to sign up a not-real hotmail and a not-real youtube account, this project is gonna generate some feedback.
Add me to your *ping* list StarCMC. I’ve got some time I can spare to this worthy cause.
” ‘Should I advocate banning something which I have not reviewed? Would it not be better if I were to exercise my own critical thinking and judgement before condeming something?’
“I’m with you, GB.
“But being informed is now considered passe.”
Watching enemy propaganda is hardly a good way to get informed. However, do as you think best, just remember to take any “information” that appears to be there with a grain or three of salt.
VietVet
LOL — well THAT’s certainly a compliment! :-D
Thanks Bean Counter! Will add you now!
You’re right — and it is also educational to read the comments. Many times you’ll see comments that point out errors in the terrorists propaganda — they blow up a Jeep and call it a Humvee for instance. Things like that.
