Urgent Prayer Needed For a Freeper's Dad

Hi everyone....I received an email this afternoon from a Freeper who wishes to remain anonymous.

Part of the email reads as follows, with PRIVATE info removed...

"Dad is back in the hospital, with a confirmed stroke, and as of a couple hours ago, was diagnosed with a brain contusion and bleeding. He will be having brain surgery in the morning."

So...if you could ask for prayers for a FReeper's Dad, his name is Gary, he will be having brain surgery Thursday morning...he has a brain contusion, with a tear, bleeding, and fluid. (I don't know what any of this means.)

I WILL be able to post updates, as will trussell...and no, this isn't for trussell....we both hold prayer ping lists. :)

Dear Lord God, we come before you now, collectively, to pray for this dear Freeper's Dad. Please Lord, put your hand on Gary, please heal him of all illnesses in his body. Please guide the medical team who will work on him, giving them wisdom.

Lord, Gary's a Christian, he walks with you...please stay by his side now. Comfort his family...In Your Name, Amen!

He stayed an extra day in ICU due to drainage issues.

The drains were removed Monday and he made his first venture out of bed.....a lap around the ICU. (You GO Gary!) :)

He was moved to a regular room on Tuesday...

Are ya READY?????? Read on......this just in from a member of Gary’s family!!!

Thank you to everyone for all your prayers.

It meant a great deal to our family. The comfort that your prayers have provided to us has helped everyone get through the experience. It has been quite an ordeal!!

Tonight is a true praise report. Gary has returned home as of 6:15 this evening. He left the hospital without requirements of medicine or rehab. His left side is now completely restored.

Last week at this time, we believed he suffered from a stroke. Last Thursday, he went to see the family doctor and everything got rolling from there. For a man who had 3 blood clots in his brain to where he is today, he’s a living testimony of God’s power and grace. In all honesty, the neurosurgeon told him last Friday the other alternative was death. He was bumped to the first surgery of the morning on Friday.

Thank you all for the prayers!

If you ever doubt the power of prayer, let Gary be an example of what prayer power can do for a person. He’s a walking testimony especially since another man that was admitted there last Friday night with one blood clot in the brain died the next morning. If you will please remember this family in your prayers...prayers for His peace through the trial that we were spared, we’d all appreciate it.

He has returned home. It would not be possible without God and especially wouldn’t be possible without all the prayers sent to God on his behalf.
