BREAKING NEWS UPDATE: Authorities enter Eldorado-area temple (Fundamentalist LDS cult)
Go San Angelo ^ | 5 April 08 | Paul A. Anthony

Posted on 04/06/2008 5:27:22 AM PDT by SkyPilot

Local and state officials entered the temple of a secretive polygamist sect late Saturday, said lawmen blockading the road to the YFZ Ranch near Eldorado.

The action comes hours after local prosecutors said officials were preparing for the worst because a group of FLDS members were resisting efforts to search the structure.

The Texas Department of Public Safety trooper and Schleicher County sheriff’s deputy confirmed that officials have entered the temple but said they had no word on whether anything occurred in the effort.

The incursion into the temple caps the three-day saga of the state’s Child Protective Services agency removing at least 183 women and children from the YFZ Ranch since Friday afternoon. Eighteen girls have been placed in state custody since a 16-year-old told authorities she was married to a 50-year-old man and had given birth to his child.

Saturday evening, ambulances were brought in, said Allison Palmer, who as first assistant 51st District attorney, would prosecute any felony crimes uncovered as part of the investigation inside the compound.

“In preparing for entry to the temple, law enforcement is preparing for the worst,” Palmer said Saturday evening. They want to have “medical personnel on hand in case this were to go in a way that no one wants.”

Apparently as a result of action Saturday night at the ranch, about 10:15 p.m. Saturday, a Schleicher County school bus unloaded another group of at least a dozen more women and children from the compound.

Although members of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, or FLDS, have provided varying degrees of cooperation to the sheriff’s deputies and Texas Rangers searching the compound, all cooperation stopped once authorities tried to search the gleaming white temple that towers over the West Texas scrub, Palmer said.

“There may be those who would oppose (entry) by placing themselves between law enforcement and the place of worship,” Palmer said Saturday afternoon. “If an agreement cannot be reached … law enforcement will have to — as gently and peaceably as possible — make entry into that place.”

Sect members consider the temple, dedicated by then-leader of the sect Warren Jeffs in January 2005 and finished many months later, off-limits to those who are not FLDS members, said Palmer, who prosecutes felony cases in Schleicher County.

Palmer said she didn’t know the size or makeup of the group inside the temple.

The earlier refusal to provide access was even more disconcerting because CPS investigators have yet to identify the 16-year-old girl or her roughly 8-month-old baby among the dozens removed from the compound, Palmer said.

“Anytime someone says, ‘Don’t look here,’” she said, “it makes you concerned that’s exactly where you need to look.”

The girl told authorities in two separate phone calls a day apart that she was married to a 50-year-old man, Dale Barlow, who had fathered her child, Palmer said.

The joint raid included the Texas Rangers, CPS, Schleicher County and Tom Green County sheriff’s deputies and game wardens from the Texas Department of Parks and Wildlife.

Although CPS and Department of Public Safety officials have described the compound’s residents as cooperative, Palmer disagreed.

“Things have been a little tense, a little volatile,” she said.

Authorities removed 52 children Friday afternoon and 131 women and children overnight Friday. About 40 of the children are boys, said CPS spokeswoman Marleigh Meisner.

No further children have been taken into state custody since Friday, when 18 girls were judged to have been abused or be at imminent risk for abuse. CPS has found foster homes for the girls, Meisner said, and will place them after concluding its investigation.

Meisner declined to comment on the fate of the 119 other children and said authorities were still searching the ranch for others Saturday evening.

“They’re in the process of looking,” she said. “They’re literally about halfway through.”

Mentally I don't know how they could take them unless they take all the kids from moms in Texas that are living with boyfriends though.

In most cases (unfortunately not all) I believe that if a 911 call is received, they take action.

Thanks,
The timeline of the fathers is laid out in the book of Jasher, and Shem indeed was alive when Abraham was. Abraham even learned from Shem and Noah while living with them while hiding from Nimrod. And Nimrod was indeed alive when Abraham was, for Ussher did not have access to the Book of Jasher in his day, and made an error of dates, because of that.

Nimrod was Amraphel, of Genesis 14, and in the Book of Jasher his name, “Amraphel” is explained, because “in him [el, a mighty one in the earth]they [am -the people] fell [rapha]. Strong’s concordance did not have access to the Book of Jasher, either, as we do today -and have had for so many decades- and so Strong says “Amraphel”, as a word, is not understood, but it is simple Hebrew for Nimrod’s name “In him they fell”, because of the Tower of Babel. “Behold, is it not written in the Book of Jasher”?
http://www.ccel.org/a/anonymous/jasher/home.html
Books like the true Jasher [chronicles of the tribes from Adam to Joshua] and Enoch 1 [Ethiopian Enoch, which was kept in their canon when banned by Augustine in the late 300’s, for almost two thousand years, and was translated into English two hundred years ago], totally disprove all false doctrines and totally support the OT and NT in the orthodox understanding of who Jesus Christ is and what His work is and why He needed to come in flesh as our Redeemer/Kinsman [one word is used in Hebrew for both English words].

Abraham was comtempory with Shem. the dates given in the book of Jasher are found to be true when compared to what is given in the OT.
Abraham lived with Noah and Shem for thirty nine years, hiding from Nimrod.
The Book of Jasher http://www.ccel.org/a/anonymous/jasher/home.html
a summary:
CHAPTER 9—When Ten Years Old, Abram goes to Noah and Shem, Remains with them for Thirty-nine Years, and is Taught in all the Ways of the Lord. The Wickedness of Nimrod and his People. They Propose to Build a Tower to Heaven and Dethrone God. The confusion of Tongues.
CHAPTER 16—Four Kings with Eight Hundred Thousand Men War against Sodom and the Cities of the Plain, and destroy and plunder their people. Abram, Hearing that Lot is taken captive, gathers together about Three Hundred Men and Pursues the Kings, retakes the captives, and smites the whole Army of the confederate Rings. On his Return, Abram meets Adonizedek, King of Jerusalem, the same was Shem. Abram gives Tithing of all he had taken to Adonizedek, and is Blessed of Him. Abram Restores to every Man his property which he had retaken in the War, and returns to Hebron. The Lord again appears to Abram and promises to bless him with a Numberless Posterity. Sarah being childless gives Hagar to Abram for a Wife, and becoming jealous of her, afflicts her. An Angel comforts Hagar. Ishmael is Born.

Cindy, I can support your theory, if it includes the fact that on top of the ARROGANCE it would take for a man to believe it’s ‘the way’ things should be, he’d also have to be a mighty [insert expletive of your choice.]

Well after this is over I want to know if any or how much of Texas tax dollars went into this .

One thing I think the state could do in the future is identify dads before benefits approved. If you list unknown you get no benefits unless a court decides otherwise. (proof of rape etc) If you list a man, they will be given the option of establishing they are not the father or will be charged child support.

So the guy who has a few wives die on him on earth and is sealed to both of them is going to have polygamy in the afterlife?

Yes, so long as he makes it to the top-tier Mormon post-world kingdom (eternal polygamy isn't for the spiritual middle or low-class neighborhoods). The second proviso is also that the sealing "for eternity" ritual be done in the temple. (Some LDS men have been consecutively married, but only were sealed to one wife "for eternity").

What about the guy who dies before his wife? Does he lose out?

Yes. The eternal spiritual polygamist gets the "head start" for churning out millions of spirit babies with multiple eternal sex with multiple eternal wives in populating their own planets. (Of course, Mormons tend to be silent on the "eternal sex" thing...but because of their emphasis of a Mormon god who has a physical body, they believe they'll become gods & emulate him.)

So what does it mean to "emulate" the Mormon god in this manner? (For that, let's turn the pages to Brigham Young himself, followed by LDS apostle Bruce R. McConkie):

"When the time came that His first-born, the Saviour, should come into the world and take a tabernacle, the Father came Himself and favoured that spirit with a tabernacle instead of letting any other man do it." (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 4, Page 218.) [IOW, the Mormon god ventured from heaven to "visit" Mary, "favouring" her with his "tabernacle" vs. "letting any other man do it."]

"The birth of the Savior was as natural as are the births of our children; it was the result of natural action. He partook of flesh and blood -- was begotten of his Father, as we were of our fathers." (Young, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 8, page 115).

McConkie: "There is nothing figurative about his paternity; he was begotten, conceived and born in the normal and natural course of events..." (Mormon Doctrine, p. 742.)

There ya go. Other than a supernatural being supposedly being present, nothing really "supernatural" occurred when Mary was impregnated. Young said it was as "natural as are the births of our children"; McConkie said it was a "literal paternity" (which would mean DNA & all) in which Jesus was "conceived...in the normal and natural course of events."

They had to use the “jaws of death” to get into the temple, and last night they brought in jack hammers.

What could be so "holy" in their temple that would require the kind of armor that requires jackhammers and jaws tools? Would not the armor of their faith protect whatever is in those rooms?

This gives rise to some scary speculation, IMO.

And man can know these things by the Witness/Power of the Holy Ghost!

How can man know what was UNTRUE about PRESBYTERIANISM?

In order to have a Glorified eternal body of Flesh and Bone to resurrect in, you would have had to have a physical body of flesh and blood that had gone through the probationer period.

HUH???

Well ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. By the time you are 50 you have had to experience some outside contact too. I’m mostly talking about the young men, the teenagers that either must accept their doctrine or get kicked out. The girls may be the primary victims but I would guess all of the kids in situations like these are affected. Remember , I think there are over 50 boys that are part of the 400 that were removed.

Of course, they are now known as the JST.

Why do you CONTINUE to mock; Gentile??

You KNOW that they are in our creed; the Articles of Faith.

Right there at the end of #6&7:

And a frying pan... for the man that even thinks about bringing another “wife “ home.

Joe: Hey Emma!   Guess what!?

Emma: You KNOW I hate these guessing games! What is it, Dear?

Joe: I heard a voice, probably the Lord, tell me I must take other wives.

Emma: WHAT!?   You ding bat!  Don't you KNOW what our precious BOOK says?   After all; YOU are the one that translated it!

Joe: Books; schmooks.   All I know is I've been COMMANDED to take other wives and you are to OBEY ME!!!

Emma:      "Though shalt NOT commit ADULTERY!!!"

Joe: Silly Woman!  You KNOW better than to take things out of CONTEXT!!!

...and the rest is HISTORY...

THE BOOK OF JACOB
THE BROTHER OF NEPHI
CHAPTER 2

24 Behold, David and Solomon truly had many wives and concubines, which thing was abominable before me, saith the Lord.
25 Wherefore, thus saith the Lord, I have led this people forth out of the land of Jerusalem, by the power of mine arm, that I might raise up unto me a righteous branch from the fruit of the loins of Joseph.
26 Wherefore, I the Lord God will not suffer that this people shall do like unto them of old.
  27 Wherefore, my brethren, hear me, and hearken to the word of the Lord: For there shall not any man among you have save it be one wife; and concubines he shall have none;
28 For I, the Lord God, delight in the chastity of women. And whoredoms are an abomination before me; thus saith the Lord of Hosts.
29 Wherefore, this people shall keep my commandments, saith the Lord of Hosts, or cursed be the land for their sakes.
30 For if I will, saith the Lord of Hosts, raise up seed unto me, I will command my people; otherwise they shall hearken unto these things.
31 For behold, I, the Lord, have seen the sorrow, and heard the mourning of the daughters of my people in the land of Jerusalem, yea, and in all the lands of my people, because of the wickedness and abominations of their husbands.
32 And I will not suffer, saith the Lord of Hosts, that the cries of the fair daughters of this people, which I have led out of the land of Jerusalem, shall come up unto me against the men of my people, saith the Lord of Hosts.

Or even HERE:

 1 Timothy 3:2-3
 2.  Now the overseer must be above reproach, the husband of but one wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,
 3.  not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.

1 Timothy 3:12
A deacon must be the husband of but one wife and must manage his children and his household well.

 Titus 1:6
An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient.

Emma: That's IT!   I'm LEAVING your sorry *!!!

Joe:  DARN you Emma; you were TOLD to accept this!!   Wait!!!   I hear a voice again!!!

THE
DOCTRINE AND COVENANTS
OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS
SECTION 132

51–57, Emma Smith is counseled (commanded) to be faithful and true; 58–66, Laws governing the plurality of wives are set forth.

51 Verily, I say unto you: A commandment I give unto mine handmaid, Emma Smith, your wife, whom I have given unto you, that she stay herself and partake not of that which I commanded you to offer unto her; for I did it, saith the Lord, to aprove you all, as I did Abraham, and that I might require an offering at your hand, by covenant and sacrifice.
52 And let mine handmaid, Emma Smith, areceive all those that have been given unto my servant Joseph, and who are virtuous and pure before me; and those who are not pure, and have said they were pure, shall be destroyed, saith the Lord God.
53 For I am the Lord thy God, and ye shall obey my voice; and I give unto my servant Joseph that he shall be made ruler over many things; for he hath been afaithful over a few things, and from henceforth I will strengthen him.
54 And I command mine handmaid, Emma Smith, to abide and acleave unto my servant Joseph, and to none else. But if she will not abide this commandment she shall be bdestroyed, saith the Lord; for I am the Lord thy God, and will destroy her if she abide not in my law.
55 But if she will not abide this commandment, then shall my servant Joseph do all things for her, even as he hath said; and I will bless him and multiply him and give unto him an ahundredfold in this world, of fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, houses and lands, wives and children, and crowns of beternal lives in the eternal worlds.
56 And again, verily I say, let mine handmaid aforgive my servant Joseph his trespasses; and then shall she be forgiven her trespasses, wherein she has trespassed against me; and I, the Lord thy God, will bless her, and multiply her, and make her heart to brejoice.

Your insistence on a ‘living prophet’ violates clear scriptural teaching that Christ has superceded such an office. Unless of course you’re claiming Joseph Smith or any other ‘living prophets’ are greater than Christ????

Brigham Young claimed "Well now, examine the character of the Savior, and examine the characters of those who have written the Old and New Testaments; and then compare them with the character of Joseph Smith... and you will find that his character stands as fair as any man's mentioned in the Bible

" (Journal of Discourses 14:203, August 31, 1871).

Just one example from:

Praise to the Man" - Elevating Joseph Smith

That Jessop lady wrote a book, too, I think: “Escape?”

It is probably scarier than anything Poe ever wrote. And Lord forbid, more true.
