Sounds like your in good company, RL.

Attn McCain Apologists: Talk all you want! (Jim Robinson)

Attn McCain Apologists: Talk all you want!

But he's still a constitution trampling RINO and unless he repeals McCain-Feingold, repudiates amnesty and global warming, drops all support for embryonic stem cell research and stops talking about partnering up with the Democrats and instead swears to fight the evil bastards he won't be getting my support.

You kicked the conservatives to the curb and nominated your RINO, now all you gotta do is get him elected.

I will never vote for a democrat, so I think I will only vote for all the conservative congress-critters.

I just won’t pull any lever for one of 3 democrats running for Pres.

I agree 100%. Obama or Hillary and a Democrat controlled congress would be a lot better than McCain.

There is no reasoning with folks of your mindset, so go ahead, do whatever makes you feel good. I doubt he needs your vote, anyway.

“All McCain voters are selling the rest of us TRUE CONSERVATIVES out!

Enough!

Show you have the values of your convictions and leave the BLUE BLOOD REPUBLICANS in Washington, crawling on their knees for forgiveness!”

Due to the structure of Freep, I can’t reply to the author of the above screed. But to him/her, I say bite me. I’m holding my nose and voting for McCain—not because I’ve mistaken him for a conservative, but because if Obama wins and pulls us out of Iraq, there will be no Washington, all the blue blood republicans will have converted to Islam, and the White House will be converted into a Mosque (dome makes it perfect shape).

Conservatism is bigger than any one election, and its ideas will ultimately triumph. They can’t be sold out because the truth is not a commodity to be bought and sold, and conservatism’s ascent is inevitable.

Anyone Who Votes For McCain Is A Sellout To CONSERVATISM!

Where were the conservatives supporting Hunter when we needed him? Mmmm? Don't bash the McCain supporters for the lack of Hunter supporters .

To you, I say...

Got a better option? At this point, the next POTUS will be Obama, Hillary, or McCain - pick one. ...and not voting for one of them will not help keep all of them out of the Oval Office. Yes, I'm just as miffed as you are; nonetheless, one of them will be our next President, so suck it up and pick one.

In the primary, McCain was not my first, second, or even third choice. I did not vote for him then, nor in 2000. I do not like him. Today, I am voting for McCain for the following reasons.
1. Congress. The democrats are likely to keep the house, and even more so the senate. If Obama/Hillary wins, they have total control of the government and will easily pass their agenda.
2. Pork barrell spending, for all of McCain's fault, of which there are many, that's one of his better areas. He is consistent there, and unlike Bush, won't give us the bridge to nowhere.

But most important is the Supreme Court appointments. I am pro-life, and pro-2nd Amendment. For those two issues, the big issue is the judiciary. We must have strict constitutionalists appointed to our courts. As most of the Justices are in their late 60's or older, this is an issue that needs much more attention than it currently has.

We KNOW that Obama and Hillary will appoint atrocious judges, which WILL be approved by the Senate. McCain MAY give us good or improved judges. He might now either, but there is a CHANCE with him. I'll vote for a chance over no chance.

We had our chances in the primary. On my ballot we had a choice of McCain, Romney, Huckabee, Thompson, Brownback, Paul, Giuliani, and Hunter. There were plenty to choice from, and the people chose Romney here and McCain nationwide.

I won't begrudge someone's choice to vote for a 3rd party candidate, but I'm no sellout in my choice to back McCain. It's all about the judges with me.

Uh that’s just great! And just who do you suggest we vote for? B. Obama? H. Clinton? Oh please!

And just who would you suggest could actually win? Hmmmm? Come on, let’s have some names, not some tiresome rant! This is getting old. I’m getting sick of being accused of being a sell-out for conservatism, just because I choose to vote for someone you pure and holy conservatives don’t approve of! Sheesh!

You know there are two types of conservatives. On one hand, you have the pure, holy “real” conservatives. On the other hand, you have the practical conservative. I wonder if that breed is getting rarer on here anymore. Maybe they aren’t so rare but silent. I hope they are a silent majority.

I always thought of myself of being a conservative. But I do want our side to win. I don’t want an Obama or a Clinton to win. Especially with the leadership in Congress or the Senate being what it is. Just think about that!

I’ll let you ponder on that cheerful scenario.
Sweet Dreams!
