All McCain voters are selling the rest of us TRUE CONSERVATIVES out!

Enough!

Show you have the values of your convictions and leave the BLUE BLOOD REPUBLICANS in Washington, crawling on their knees for forgiveness!

I didn’t “miss” anything!

I’m well aware that when hunting deer, it is important to wait for the doe and young bucks to finish clearing, because the mature bucks are sure to follow.

There is NO correlation between that and not voting for McCain.

Conservatives couldn't unite so we lost, it is as simple as that.

You're completely overlooking that if the numbers were there to begin with, we wouldn't be having this conversation. You'd have your nominee.

Now start asking yourself why those numbers weren't there, and see what answers you come up with. (Warning: it's not going to be something one election cycle is capable of fixing.)

The alternative, and here's what I'm seeing a lot of as well, is to convince yourself it's a conspiracy. Now there's a racket - if it's a vast left-wing conspiracy, then it's beyond anything you or anyone else can do, because it's so big and so far-reaching. This then allows you to continue to remain sedentary in front of your keyboard and complain without experiencing any guilt pangs - because it's not your fault, right? And viola, another victim class is born. Just what this country needed.

This is getting old. Let's deal with the real world. The trugh is enough Republicans voted for this guy to give him the nomination. We have to play the hand we were dealt.

I personally can't stand McCain. I resent him and I resent those who were stupid enough to select him to be our nominee but I'm sure as heck going to do everything within my power to keep Muslim-sympathizer, America-hating Barack HUSSEIN Obama out of the WH. Same for Commie-loving Hitlery. Both are congenital liars and they make McCain look like a saint.

The time for these kinds of threads were while we were in the primary process. The truth is the moderate won. We lost. We have to get over it and wait for 2012.

Isn’t it a sellout to let McCain become President?

The ONLY reason someone should vote for McCain over the other two democRATS would be if you were loyal to the Republican Party. I’m not. They left me on the side of the road when they embraced McCain as a candidate. In fact, McCain and others have come right out and said they don’t “need” conservatives to win this. Fine. I don’t need them, either.

But I have to wonder: if they don’t need us, why all this angst because some of us won’t be voting for McCain?

"The RNC didn't give us McCain as the nominee, Republican primary voters did that because there were so many candidates this year that conservative votes were split. It's just the way it happened, and we have to decide what to do with it. "

Maybe you should read up on what the process actually is. As a matter of fact, some of these critical primaries were "open" primaries, meaning that liberals got to choose our candidates for us. That should never have happened. Moreover, the die was cast after just a few small, but liberal-leaning states held their primaries. The vast majority of us--the other 44 or so states--didn't have a say in who the candidate was going to be until well after most had been eliminated in those early primaries.

As for deciding what to do with what's left--I already have. I won't vote for a DemocRAT, even if he's wearing Republican clothing. I'll vote for good local people, but the President box will have to remain empty this year. And it's the FIRST year, EVER, that I've even considered doing such a thing.

But my conscience won't allow me to vote for someone I fully believe is unqualified for the office of President, even if he does claim to be a Republican. (But note: Republican is not the same as conservative, and lately, Republicans aren't very conservative.) Voting for McCain now just encourages the RNC to put forth more liberals just like him. No thanks.

The numbers are here. The problem is that the system weeds out conservative candidates. A good conservative would simply vote NO 90 percent of the time and accomplish very little in his time in office. People get elected to do things though, that is how they get money to run again. To do things they have to compromise and create teams that have the same goals, and by the time they have done all of that they are no longer conservatives.

I don't have the solution. All I know is that Democracies have a tendency to amass lots of goodies for the majority.

Funny how none of the McCain supporters want to answer that question. They’re too busy telling us how much he supports the troops.

Sounds like your in good company, RL.

Attn McCain Apologists: Talk all you want!

But he's still a constitution trampling RINO and unless he repeals McCain-Feingold, repudiates amnesty and global warming, drops all support for embryonic stem cell research and stops talking about partnering up with the Democrats and instead swears to fight the evil bastards he won't be getting my support.

You kicked the conservatives to the curb and nominated your RINO, now all you gotta do is get him elected.

There are several questions that the McBots have no answers for, as their fragile world views would be torn asunder.

You are talking Ron Paul. His surrender monkey ass deserved railing against. FR management was doing it too.

I don't recall FR management posting stuff like this about Paul, n00b.

“The ONLY reason someone should vote for McCain over the other two democRATS would be if you were loyal to the Republican Party.”

One can easily twist that around and come up with a point that is even more accurate. The only reason someone would not vote for McCain over the two Democrats is if you were loyal to the Democrat Party.

I will never vote for a democrat, so I think I will only vote for all the conservative congress-critters.

I just won’t pull any lever for one of 3 democrats running for Pres.

All we need is to stop Amnesty; I'm from the government, I'm here to help.

I still don't get this part of your manifesto. Border security is one of the very few things the government IS supposed to do. What is your best case scenario? A deputized Minutemen-type organization or something?

Isn’t it a sell out to conservatism to let Hillary or Obama become President?

I'm very disspirited about the whole thing. Of course, that's what the party pros are relying on--that even though the base hates McCain, they will eventually rally round rather than see a communist mobster or a muslim terrorist get elected. The problem with that is that McCain will predictably destroy the party, and who will we turn to when he does?

OTOH, as you suggest, can we afford to sit it out and let one of these loons be elected?

I honestly don't know what to do. At least I don't have to decide right now. But I do know that McCain will turn off tens of millions of Evangelical voters, whatever Freepers may decide to do next November. The Party couldn't have picked a worse candidate.

It might change things if McCain chose a REAL conservative for his VP. But the way things are going, frankly I don't believe he will.

The problem is this year it looks like the Libertarians will have Mike Gravel

The Libertarians would be retarded to let Gravel take their nomination. Bob Barr might step in. If he does, I'll happily vote for him, if nothing else, just to say I've voted for a freeper for President.

Anyone who does not vote, and so allows Obama or Hillary to win is a TRAITOR.

So you're saying that 75% of Americans are guilty of treason? Can the dramatics.
