By now, most McCain haters will have already skipped down to the comments section to post their expletives and tell me how its a free country and they have a 1st Amendment right, etc. to yammer on and on about how bad McCain sucks, totally missing the point of my post, again. But Im here to tell you, in this free country, that in my opinion, you should SHUT YOUR STINKIN TRAP! To all you ingrates, rageaholics, and self-absorbed punks, WE KNOW YOU HATE MCCAIN. You can give yourself a rest now and stop posting on every single thread the same exact comments. Im not going to name names, but I will if I have to. I think we all know by now who Im talking about. The folks who post the same pictures and the same comments on EVERY SINGLE THREAD. We got it. You arent voting for McCain. Fine. Time to move on. Yes, thats my opinion. You have had enough time to accept the reality that John Sidney McCain III, WAR HERO, is the Republican nominee. Some folks on FR have used this time to learn more about Johnny, realize that he isnt as bad as they thought, grow up, act like adults, and get in gear to vote for him. Some of you have decided not only to beat your collective dead horse everyday, banging out the same tiresome gripes about McCain on every thread, but youve also gotten increasingly VITRIOLIC. Im talking about the following trash:
1. Saying McCain isnt really a war hero because (insert stupid lie here.)
2. Declaring that McCain urged the U.S. government to leave other POWs back in Vietnam (for what reason would he do this exactly? Dont bother, I dont want to hear your lies anymore.)
3. Insulting other FR posters who like or support Johnny by using profanity, vulgarity, and name calling. YOU ARE DIMINISHING FR with your hostile poststhis kind of stuff belongs on low rent leftie sites like DU, or Daily Kos, not FREE REPUBLIC, the shining star of conservative websites.
4. AND FINALLY, the filthiest load in the McCain Haters verbal trebuchet: wishing, hoping or praying that John Sidney McCain III would come to some misfortune which would prevent him from living to be President. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST DISGUSTING. How can you wish that a decent, G-d fearing man who suffered and sacrificed out of love for this country, who, BY THE GRACE OF G-D, survived five years of torture and imprisonment only to return to service in the militaryhow could you wish him anything but a long, long life? Shameful. And dont DARE try to suggest that you are any better in moral character or principle than the angry liberal scum who wish ill upon President Bush or our troops. If your definition of conservative is to rage daily and most repulsively against our next President, then please call me a right wing Reaganite traditionalist because I want no part of your scene. I realize that some talk show hosts like Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity dont like Johnny, but I dont recall hearing them praying for his untimely demise. No, that is the talk of the dregs of society, not adults who have their act together.
And just a heads up to all the McCain haters: I am ignoring your tirades henceforth. I cant stop you from posting your garbage, but I certainly dont have acknowledge it. Basically, the point of posts from people who like Johnny these days is to share daily news: tracking polls, statements he has made, who he is touring with, speeches he has given, leaders he has met with, etc. What is YOUR point? To seek out people to commiserate with? To insult fellow conservatives whove decided having a responsible leader in a time of war trumps giving the GOP a spanking? To try and rally others to joins the haters camp?
Are you going to do this for the next several years? If so, the best advice I can give to the non-haters is to wade through the rage and seek out the decent and the productive on FR. Do not waste your time debating the haters, because they seem to thrive on self-righteousness and rage. Try as they might, they have given absolutely no GOOD reason to allow a dem to win the presidency. Their continued daily rantings about why they hate McCain, on EVERY thread about him, only serve to define their insanity.
I seek out those of like mind. G-d Bless John Sidney McCain III.
P.S. McCain haters, please review the link in order to familiarize yourselves with the sound of Skank's voice so you can hear his directive in your head when you are about to post something vile.
Yeah, I remember how much more conservative Eisenhower, Nixon and Ford were than Ronald Reagan. < /sarc>
Needs to be repeated. There are some folks here who have legitimate gripes against McCain; there are a LOT of trolls left over from 2006 (many of whom derailed Thompson before he even had a chance to get started). JM ain't perfect, but he's not a Professional Socialist, as both Hillary! and Obama demonstrably are.
If we elect McCain, and A REPUBLICAN CONGRESS THAT WILL KEEP AN EYE ON HIM, then we are infinitely better off than we would be with either Dem in the White House.
Just look at what the "all or nothing" idiots (aided and abetted by the agitating trolls) got us in 2006. That is all the evidence any clear-thinking person needs.
When you’re supporting a real conservative, let us know, Unspun.
Though I think this opus sucks, you are not being asked to abandon your conservative principles. See tagline.

You got that RIGHT !!
When you need someone to pull the knife out of your back let me know.
You do, however, rival John Sidney McCain III, conservative-hater-in-chief, as an opponent of free speech.
I think McCain is a great guy, period. Compared to the two Democratic candidates, he’s a Greek god. And this is just on personal characteristics. Politically, he’s not my cup of tea - he’s too liberal for me. However, compared to the Dems, he’s Barry Goldwater. Bottom line, based on a combination of the following facts - he’s a good guy personally, and the lesser of three evils politically - I will vote for him.
Then allow me, if I may. Out of the three people who have any chance of being President next January, only one is qualified. That one person is McCain. The other two are chihuahuas.
Not really. You caan't discuss Rush limbaugh on this site without some idiot telling you he's been selling out conservatism, or blathering about how Rush is a drug addict and goes to Central America to score with underage whores, blah, blah, blah.
We may be doomed. McCain is just far enough to the left that many democrats will vote for him and probably get him elected. The lesson will be that Republicans can win without conservatives. That lesson will probably spread down through the Senate and the House and we will see fewer and fewer conservatives in office.
And who would that person be?
Pocketa-pocketa-pocketa.
I like McCain and think he is a good man.I will vote for him. My greatest fear would be the election of the USA hater Hussein followed by the wicked witch.
Vanity posts are usually dead weight on a forum such as this. But yours manages to be condescending as well. McCain is simply not a conservative. All your ranting wont change that fact.
You really think that there won't be a difference in how the war with Al Qaida is handled?
What’s to like about a Republican who is trying to reshape the Republican party into something tantamount to “Democrat Light” and who is trying to help up the guy who basically falls down by his own words and behavior?
McCain is going to have to like me before anyone, even complete strangers, tells me to like him. I don’t have to like him or his policy positions. Afterall, HE is the one trying to earn my vote, not you, nor any other FReeper on this forum.
Personally, I’m not bothered by the fact you don’t intend to engage anyone in your vanity thread, because that’s how you McCainiac’s operate: Stifle debate you don’t agree with.
You think it’s tough now, just wait until the Democrats have their nominee. And don’t bother calling me to help carry John Wayne McCain over the finish line.
>>I was far from happy when Mccain locked up the nomination , but look at the other choices . Easy pick . Should we vote obama in, or not vote and let him walk in ?<<
Maybe I am foolish, but I am hoping that McCain will do something in the Senate to keep his promise to “secure the border first.” So far, he has been breaking that promise.
Even now, McCain could try to unite the GOP, but so far he has not been interested in doing so.
Thanks!
