6th Grade Class Denounces Global Warming Skeptics as 'Horrible People'

If you doubt teachers across the country are trying to brainwash schoolchildren with global warming alarmism, take a look inside the sixth grade classroom of teacher Michael Steria at David A. Brown Middle School in Wildomar, California.
Twenty-five sixth graders teamed up to write eight letters to The Heartland Institute describing what they had been taught about global warming. Steria sent the letters to the institute in March.

The students said they learned about global warming by reading 10 articles about it. None of the articles, however, was about the science of global warming. Many described terrifying consequences that supposedly will result, convincing the students all living things--including all human beings--will be dead in 10 years.
Steria´s Teachings
Global warming "means that if we don´t fix the climate, everything will be destroyed and we won´t be able to survive," two students wrote. Others found their global warming lessons similarly frightening (all transcriptions are as the students wrote and sent them, uncorrected):

"We feel that they are destroying our planet by saying G.W. is not a crisis. You think GW is not a crisis but it is; you know deep down that it´s a real thing that´s happening. Everyone has a part in helping GW, and you´re making worse."
"I do not think that what you are doing is right because you are telling people that global warming is not a crisis. If this is not a crisis, how come floods have occurred in asia, Mexico, and India. Plus, how can you explain why the glacier glaciers are melting. they can´t melt themselves, because they are in the coldest region in the world."
"Air pollution shrinks fetus size, 31 states target global warming, World must fix Climate in 10 years-UNDP, National disasters have quadrupled in two decades, and Global Warming Denier Group funded by Big Oil Hosting Climate Change Denial conference."

It was a hint at homeschooling.
Obviouslyt these kids have been taught very well in reading, writing, math (sarcasm off)

I did great when it came to the anti-meat indoctrination they got in the fall. He came home and said “Dad, if I were a Chicken would you eat me?” I asked him where he heard that question and he said from his teacher.
That night at dinner when he was happily gnawing on a BBQ Pork Rib, with brown sweet sauce spread ear to ear, I turned the question back at him and asked, “If I was a pig would you eat me?” in which he said, “Yep”

This reminds me of an article from The Onion where Santa was alarmed at the poor grammar and spelling in letters to him then proceeded to shame and castigate the children. Unfortunately that is exactly what needs to be done not only for the mechanical failures of language but also for the parroting of junk science. This “teacher” needs to have his name dragged through the mud and the kids need a stiff dose of the reality of what happens when you show your ass to the world.
LOL! Yes, these little comrades even sound like their predecessors at the DUmp.
Happily, my homeschooled 5th grader and 8th grader both recognize the whole GW propaganda campaign for what it is, BS. They really laughed about it when we had snow squalls here in GA yesterday!
Yes, kids are the new experts now days. You see them in commercials talking about how their daddy (as stupid as he is) should be investing his money, how much life insurance he should have, etc. Another has the kids talking about health care.
These kids can’t even pick up their dirty clothes but you better listen to them.
The "Weekly Readers" that I used to get in 1st, 2nd, 3rd Grade back in the (cough)Late70s had GREAT stories on how we were all going to die from pollution by the year 2000. If we first didn't all starve to death, or die of cancer, or run out of oil, or die in a nuclear holocaust.
OR freeze to death in the coming Ice Age.
My point? If you can dig some of them up (no idea where they'd be found) they might be an excellent counterpoint, written at a child's level, to expose the propaganda that's being shoveled at your kids now. As in "See, they've been saying this for 30-odd years, they were wrong then, and they're still wrong."
The Christians, Pope John Paul II, and now Pope Benedict XVI teach that proper stewardship of our environment is one of the individual Christian's responsibilities toward God, in this order:

It's a tag-team match - indoctrination is paired with dumbing-down.
It does appear that this could be the bud of a very successful "Two Minute Hate" program.
Maybe.
But what about the plan of a tuition tax credit up to $X for the educational expenses at the institution of your choice (even home schooling expenses)?
I know, you accept the devil’s money, he gets to call the shots. Perhaps we can legislate that part out, though.
Most education majors that I’ve met don’t know how to properly use the language, solve an algebra problem, or how to explain the relationship of the sun, moon, earth and planets.
And these are the “only people qualified to teach your kids”.
