LATE EDITION (CNN) :
Doing very well today. We're meeting extended family for brunch in about an hour.
All the best to you and yours this fine Easter morning.
Meant to add, McCain becomes OUR LBJ.
Yup, it will be critical. There will be, at that time, a Vice President. Who that is is very important.
I just don't know what to make of Richardson's goatee. He's stylin' these days.
OMG, just looked out the window and it’s snowing :(
What with everyone out and about and speaking of things religion, I heard a Jewish fellow speaking on some show or another. And like Obama yo mama and his famous “typical white person” comment, he casually let slip something that I thought might be a typical Jewish comment.
Now the fellow speaking wasn’t being rude or anything. He was mostly speaking about church, temple, the reason for religion and it ain’t to inflame people with hatred, that sort of thing. But he said somewhere in his commentary that “us Jews don’t celebrate the death of God.”
Do Jews really think Christians CELEBRATE the death of Jesus? I mean, beyond Good Friday, there’s no celebration and Good Friday isn’t even a holy day of obligation.
It’s the sort of thing I’ve been noticing lately. Like it’s not so much what “typical” folks of this religion or race feel about their own kind, it’s more what “typical” folks think about OTHER relgions, creeds or races that seems to be off kilter.
Very astute assessment. McCain will win — the liberal wing of the Republican party will do all it can to ‘take back’ the party from the conservative wing, and the next four years will be teeth-grindingly difficult as McCain tries to please “his” base -— which is not us!
If he chose Romney for veep, and retired after 4 years, conservatives could have a chance.
I really like Peggy Noonan, she writes so well and is a good thinker. Yet, I agree with you on the video and also, am in disagreement with her recent article on Obama’s speech.
Just listened out the window and it was doing that thing again.
Shades of last year....
It's quite telling, however, that when they desperately needed to change the subject (having already shot their wad) the best they could do was to roll-out the corpulent, smarmy, endoresement-for-hire, grease ball, Richardson.
Thanks NN always great to hear from you.
Hey, Allegra. I saw the earlier thread on the “barrage” and read down to see if you were alright.
A blessed Easter to you and to all who serve this great country in whatever capacity.
I hope our guys are out on the hunt to shut those b@#turds down.
What a great description of Richardson.
You truly have captured the essence of the man.
Has Oprah ever offered an explanation of why she left that church? They could make a TV show out of it.
He’s also dyeing his goatee. I saw a picture of Richardson and Clinton watching the Super Bowl together and Richardson’s beard was gray. Then when he endorsed Obama his beard was as dark as his hair.
