I am stuck in fayetteville. Go to Sunset Beach all the time. I love Wilmington. Good luck down there.
New Jersey has two of the safest cities on the list:
(3) Brick, New Jersey
(9) Toms River, New Jersey
Camden and Newark New Jersey are two of the most dangerous cities on the list.
Compared to other states, New Jersey is not on the most dangerous list. It is a densely populated state however when compared to other states and cities, it's still not as bad as other states as a WHOLE. The same is true of the link used for this thread.
Nevada is worse than NJ as a state. You'd think that NJ would be on one of the WORST states to live in - crime wise but it is NOT compared to other states and cities. Every state has their arm pits but I'd bet the dense population in comparison to other states and cities doesn't have NJ looking so bad overall.

NC is a beautiful State and I consider myself blessed to live down here. Happy ST. Patty’s day to ya!
I can’t believe we let those wussies from Tennessee beat us out!
LOL.
1. New Hampshire
2. Maine
3. North Dakota
4. Vermont
5. South Dakota
6. Wyoming
7. Montana
None of these state have big cities. Unless you consider Portland,Maine, Fargo and Billings to be big cities?
Who the hell wants to live in North/South Dakota, Iowa, Idaho, Wisconsin or Utah? Say what you want about CA but I’d ten times rather live here than have to look at cows and salt lakes for the rest of my life.
I hear ya but sometimes ... I get tired of the rat race. Maybe in the future, I’d consider it when we retire.
Puzzlement on my part.
We're usually #49 or #50 (woops, that's for the good things).
Aw, look. We only made 7th place overall! But we did place 2nd in murder and robbery!
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
Wow. Where’s New Orleans on that list?
Are they in a different league?
I'm calling BS. The question wouldn't have been asked if there weren't an ugly, underlying racial bias. You don't go on a thread and ask -- with no hint of humor -- if there's a strong correlation between the number of Jews and home foreclosures, or a strong correlation between the number of Irish Americans and alcohol treatment centers, or a correlation between the number of people of Italian descent and government corruption.
In fact there is no positive correlation at all between the percentage of minorities in a state and the measure of violence in it as tabulated in this article, and yet blacks and latinos keep on getting tagged as innately violent with innocent-sounding "questions." And you wonder why they don't vote for us? Words have consequences.
And your words have no meaning or logic to back them up. In other words, STFU !
I don't have to spout obscenities, because I know I'm right. I have a hunch that you agree with my assessment. Of course, only you know for sure what's in your heart -- please be honest with yourself.
Are you a member of the thought control police? You seem to know a lot of my inner thoughts and all, so I figured you must be a member. On the other hand, perhaps you think everybody is out of step but you. Either way, you make wild assed assumptions of which you know nothing, showing all of us what true ignorance can lead to. Drop the “holier than thou” crap and try being human instead of the little snot-nosed kid in the third grade who knows everything but really knows nothing!
