Obama camp: No, Newsmax, he wasn’t there for the sermon on July 22

An (almost) airtight alibi, refuting the charge that he was present in church and nodding along last summer when Wright indicted the United States of White America. So much for Newsmaxs credibility. People were ripping on me in the comments to the Juan Williams post for having called the Messiah a shrewd politician but just look at the game hes got us playing here trying to place him physically at the scene of any single sermon at a church he patronized for 20 years, as if absent that evidence we might have to believe his feigned ignorance. Newsmaxs info was bogus? Well, maybe he really didnt know after all!
Actually, I like this explanation better. Wait for it. About halfway through.

So he missed that day’s racist sermon to have a meeting with ANOTHER RACIST ORGANIZATION. Is that supposed to be better?

I'll have to disagree with the notion that El Rushbo wants to keep McCain from getting elected. The Rodham-rodent and Barry O are so socialist that McCain's moderate distaste is palatable for a mere four years.

I hope you are right...however; I still think Obama is the easier to beat [after all there is only one to beat there, while there are two clintons that have to be beat.]

Yes he was. He gave a speech at 7:00 PM that night [July 21?]
in Iowa.
According to this reference
Events on July 22, 2007 , he was scheduled for an appearance in Chicago, Illinois on July 22 as well as the La Raza speech in Miami, same day. From another link I found, supposedly he was scheduled for an appearance in IL at 12 pm, and a 3 pm La Raza speech. It could be the Chicago appearance was cancelled, because he showed up for the speech closer to 2 pm in Miami.

If the Barry O candidacy is rejected through clintonian works, the black vote the DNC has grown to take for granted will not be there this time and that could translate into more “R” candidates getting elected when people vote to oppose the beast and her sexbrat, sinkEmperor.

Fox reports now that he was the national convention of La Raza instead.
Which is a bit like saying a politician didn’t rob a bank on a given day because he was too busy laundering money. Still wrong.

If Obama wasn’t there, why was Secret Service at the church as stated in the NewsMax article?
To: af_vet_rr
I've been wondering that myself. They don't exactly run Batboy stories, but dang close.
They do what a lot of fringe news organizations do - they go with a story based on no facts, and if they're right by chance, they can get out in front and say that they were first. The problem with this strategy is that they're often wrong.

Didn’t/doesn’t this church sell videos of J.Wright’s sermons??
Wouldn’t there be audience shots? The moneymaker will be when someone finds Ubama in the audience, nodding his head to this bigoted racist man’s remarks—Hillary’s camp should be working double time on trying to find even a 5 second snippet of Ubama agreeing with the racist rhetoric!! Then cut and paste it in a million commercials and run it into the ground!

If Obama wasnt there, why was Secret Service at the church as stated in the NewsMax article?I think you're referring to this passage in the article:
On this particular July Sabbath morning, only a handful of white men aside from a few members of Obama's Secret Service detail were present among a congregation of approximately 2,500 people.
Good catch.

I agree he deserves it. But the Newsmax farce is beside the point. Obama had to know what kind of church this was, what kind of sermons his mentor gives, etc.

Yes, the follow up here should be to find out what was “preached” at THAT meeting.
Probably worse than what was said at his church that day.
