I'm not sure many will want to. Sharpton, for example, has been trying to sound more reasonable and claim some mainstream credibility for a while now. Defending this will take him back to his street agitator days. Beyond that there simply aren't enough blacks to sway an election if the mushy middle pasty faced whites run screaming (or crawl whimpering) to McCain. I don't think the "hispanic vote" (a mythical creature but relevant in a liberal-only context) will be following the wrong Reverend Wright.

We will see. I expect those allegiances are fairly well settled by now. Black or white, liberal or conservative people don't generally run to embrace controversy after things reach critical mass.

Sorry I have been gone so long. I just wanted to chime in with my opinion on the motive behind this.
Hillary is going to use this as a reason for why she should be given the nomination instead of Obama. That’s why these tapes suddenly appeared, even though they have been available all along. I think this will pretty much guarantee that the democrats dump him at the convention.
Of course, the true Obama fans are not going to be pleased with this one bit, and will spin it as a purely racist motive.
Then the black community will become outraged, and the moonbats will hit the streets as well.
A second reason for this brouhaha may be that the continued airing of these tapes will provide cover for the probable vote fraud that is going to occur. When HIllary takes Pennsylvania, no one will question the results, assuming that a lot of western Pennsylvania voted against Obama because of these sermons.
John McCain should just be quiet and let these two fight it out.

Barrack is in a heap of trouble in SW PA. At a Lenten Fish Fry I was at earlier in the evening (just got home) the 'buzz' was who wasn't present and who could get 'into' Soldiers and Sailors Hall in Pittsburgh to hear Hillary this evening. She is staying overnight in the Burgh and will have a rally to coincide w/the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade (St. Patrick's Day is HUGE here...I know, Im Irish). Carpool plans were being made by groups (who ordinarily wouldn't go into the chaos of St. Pat's celebration JUST TO SEE HILLARY!!!). in an environment where last week they were talking of Big Ben's million dollar deal with their beloved Stillerz today's talk was about the white hating Pastor of Obama, and how wonderful Hillary is and how 'good' she will be for PA. As a FReeper, I was stunned as these are NOT political followers.
Again, I know its just anecdotal, but I have never heard a diverse group (fire hall) talk politics like that before. Ever. And some (I think) were saddened by the racist twist Obama's church reflects. Then I come here and almost a thousand posts on BHO's damaage control...so I wanted to add my two cents. Hillary is just everywhere here.
