FBI Boosts Training in Islamic 'Sensitivity'
World Net Daily ^ | 03/06/2008 | WND

The FBI believes its agents still aren't sensitive enough to Muslims and their culture, so the bureau has extended by "a few weeks" its Islamic cultural "enrichment" training program, WND has learned.

During a recent outreach event at a Washington-area mosque, FBI officials also reassured a large turnout of concerned Muslims that the bureau is not profiling Arabs and Muslims for terrorism, and has made investigating alleged "hate crimes" against them and other minorities "the second-highest priority in the criminal division of the FBI."

Among the officials who attended the Feb. 8 "town hall meeting" at the large ADAMS Center mosque were Timothy Healy, deputy assistant director for FBI intelligence, and Dave Bennett, assistant special agent in charge of the FBI's Washington field office.

When are Muslims going to be required to have sensitivity training about the rest of the world? Profiling them for terrorism sounds like a good idea.

Gee - incinerating over 3k innocent Americans really paid off for them. Now we have to be especially sensitive lest they might feel offended, they get special foot baths, they get to pray in school when no one else can, they get the gym at Harvard shut down for their private use...etc. etc. etc.

The West is collapsing from a lack of backbone.

Yes... it does make you wonder. First we got an Islamic PC twit in the CIA getting good agents fired... and now this. It’s as if September 11 2001 never happened.

If McCain threw Cunningham under a bus for calling Derek Hussein Obama Derek Hussein Obama, than it doesn't seem likely he's going to call Saudi thugs Saudi thugs.

Weird.

I wonder if Hillary would be as rotten to the terrorists as she is to anyone else who gets in her way? I can’t believe I’m saying this but of the 3 she might be the one to really nail their asses. On the other hand....maybe not if they gave her enough $ for her next campaign...

I think she’d rather castrate American men than Saudi men, because she knows that even though she has big testicals, they don’t compare to Wahabbi testicals.

Never mind me. When you log on to FR and the first thing you see is a Freeper RINO asking you to get inspired by a McCain video, it’s a tad depressing.

It’s amazing that the ones who are to be most feared are the ones most protected under the law. A religion shouldn’t classify you as a minority.

I read it all as you suggested and agree those comparisons are inaccurate and offensive. I’m sick of that one nut who attacked abortion clinics being described as a “Christian terrorist” as if there are thousands of Christians planning to bomb buildings, or as if it’s an organized part of Christianity, as is the case with Islam. Also, by the FBI’s own definition, terrorism has a political goal, which arguably that clinic guy did not.
