They should recall the ex Marine Murtha to active duty and then swear him in as a witness. It’s a shame this POS ever served in the Marines. He is not my Rep, but I am from PA and he is one of our biggest embarrassments.

So if Chessani is charged with dereliction of duty and violation of a lawful order on allegations that he mishandled the aftermath of the Haditha shootings, what does Murtha have to do with that?

Seems to me the politicians should be held accountable for all things when off the floor debating.
From what I remember, this was a case of a big mouth by Murtha off the floor.
Judge just ruled against the civil rights of others in preferential treatment for Murtha.

I wonder if relatives of Chessani could get to murtha in a civil suit.

The North County Times...

Richard Thompson, chief counsel of the Christian-based Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Mich., that is representing Chessani, said the pretrial rulings against Chessani and the prosecution itself "stink to high heaven." "Denying us the right to take Murtha's deposition so that we could show undue command influence, as well as denial of our request for production of documents in the possession of Lt. Col. Chessani's superiors, makes it impossible for us to render this loyal Marine officer the effective assistance of counsel he deserves," Thompson said in a written statement. "They are attempting to throw him under the bus."

Is due process being denied here, does that get questioned when Folsom's ruling is appealed?

The judge should have allowed the turncoat Murtha to be put on the stand and interviewed by the defence attorneys as he was largly responsible for railroading these innocent men. Powerful men get a walk in this deteriating justice system.

It has long been said, “Once a Marine, always a Marine”. Murtha is the exception to that rule.....HE IS A TRAITOR.

He is a Traitor to The Marine Corps, he is a Traitor to his country and any fool that allows that jerk to remain in office is also a Traitor.

I know that some of the bible thumpers may beat up on me for this, but I hope this bastard dies slow and painful death... and then rots in Hell!

May God not have mercy on this bastards soul.

There are two sets of rules in the USA, one for the rich and elected thieves and the other for the rest of the people in the USA.

Any questions as to who gets screwed?

They want to question Murtha about where that information came from.

The judge’s refusal to let the defense determine the source of Murtha’s information is ITSELF arguable that the judge is being unlawfully influenced.
