AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, Maha-Rushie! America's Anchorman, Truth Detector, and Doctor of Democracy. He is the man who runs America. He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do--That's host. Get ready to what you were born to do--That's listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

“The “Dems will keep fighting” rationale is not very sound.

Bubba himself didn’t wrap up the nom until July, and that didn’t hurt him or the Rats one bit.

The continued race only serves to give the Rats tons of free media in the next months.”

You’re right. Even Rove said it last night on Fox- that McCain will now become “old news” now that the nomination is wrapped up and start to fade away- but Hillary and Obama will be in the news 24/7 now. If they don’t eat each other alive (IMHO I don’t think they will) they will get their message out to more people using the media. They will also just keep raking in the money for their campaigns, while McCain is already having some cash issues. I think they already know that they will be running together- and McCain and his team better be prepared. It’s going to be rough road ahead!

Ugh. I can’t imagine that Obama would be naive enough to want Hillary as his VP. He would then need to put in for hazardous duty pay.

Not to mention the fact of accommodating the former Rapist In Chief not having a formal office. Even though he dumped that suitcase full of rocks on us before (Hillary). As he is now formally excess baggage himself, he's not going to sit back and keeps hands off. Since Hitlary picked up delegates last night, we probably won't see her "Free Willy" anytime soon.

Well, the best thing anyone of us can do is to put it all in God’s hands. He knows the alpha from the omega, beginning from the end. Who knows but what the person who becomes our president, no matter whether he/she is liberal or not so liberal, is put there for God’s purposes? None of us really knows. I’ve decided not to agonize over it. What is, just is. I will vote for McCain just to keep those two out but if one of them becomes president, I’ll just have to pray more and believe that God has his reasons, a larger plan, for allowing it.

For the love of God, would someone please tell McCain that it’s not a good strategy to alienate yourself from ALL your supporters?

Rush said even Cindy laughed, but ole Johnny has to rush to defend the libs.

I’m no expert, but I can’t imagine Hillary being willing to play second fiddle to Barack. Based on her past behavior, I’m sure she wouldn’t agree to be his running mate unless he promised (in writing, notarized) to give her a substantial portion of his presidential powers, and he’d never do that. Being his VP wouldn’t help her get to the presidency, because she’s already as well known as any human being could be. Even if he tried to appease her, she would be a constant irritant to him. She’d feel free to speak out publically any time she disagreed with him or perceived that speaking out would advance her own agenda. She’d constantly be maneuvering for more power, and he’d either have to hammer her or be perceived as weak.

No, I want my opinion to be important to the Republican party. If it doesn’t, I don’t need the Republican party.

I don't know for sure but when things like this are said for me anyway it is a little too much pushing for Obama at least for me. But sure I have no idea if Luntz would vote for Obama or not.
Here is something on Luntz:

They won’t destroy each other. When the primaries are over, they will kiss and make up and run on the ticket together.

Neither one is landing hard blows. They agree on almost everthing. The Dem base by and large like both candidates. It's a beauty contest, and now both are strong. They're not beating each other up. With more free media coverage than either candidates could every dream of purchasing they have weeks more to whoop up their supporters. This energizes the Dems, pumps them up, brings more people into the process, and lays the groundwork for turnout in the Fall.

Bill Kristol had a different view on McCain not being in the spotlight in the next few months. He said that McCain would get his “ducks in a row” while the Dems fought it out. He needs to work on his strategery, raise money, get his supporters in order, etc. I’d rather he come out swinging in September full force. It’s less risky... he’s already apologizing his head off!

What a pathetic, sad, weak old man. He will be the greatest asset for the RAT candidate. His self righteous sanctimony regarding the rats is disgusting.
