K-Lo, writing here from Austin, Texas.
Not sure why the networks haven’t picked up on this, but there is definitely a sizable portion of the vote in Texas tonight comprised of Republican voters looking to “game” the Democratic primary. I spoke with numerous friends today, who claim to be Republican, who said they voted for Sen Clinton with the thought that it will prolong the Dem in-fighting and therefore benefit Republicans. I won’t debate the merits of their argument here, but the phenomenon (Republicans voting for Sen Clinton to gain the system) is real and I think material to the results. I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone reporting it and just how large the impact might be. I’m sure it is contributing to the number of voters deciding in the final three days to support Sen. Clinton. Would be curious to hear your contributors comment on this dynamic. The VRWC conspires to save the Clinton campaign?

Mark Davis (Rush’s replacement) said it best. Obama is ten miles wide and ten miles long but only an inch deep. I’m sure that even a weak candidate like McCain could have exploited Obama’s emptiness. Now, because of Limbaugh and his huge ego, we are faced with having to beat a rejuvenated Hillary.

Fox was discussing it last night....O’Reilly with Hume and at a different point, Rove too. She must have missed it.
CNN exit polls last night said the majority of Republican crossovers voted for Obama.
There's nothing juvenile about it. One has to pick one or the other, and letting Obama keep rolling along is dangerous. As for the winner in November: ??????.

Don’t blame Rush, blame the voters who crossed over. All this “blame Rush” tripe is making the “mind-numbed-robot” case too.

We still have that chance in Mississippi, Indiana and North Carolina...all are open primaries. Wyoming, Pennsylvania and the re-dos in FL & MI will be closed primaries.

Just like the Red Sox had a chance to put away the Mets in Game 6 in 1986. They blew that chance, and we all remember what followed. “Oh don’t worry, we’ll get them in Game 7”.
This is not good, and Rush and Ann are idiots to support Hillary.
Way too much enmity between the two of them for any pairing to occur. If it did happen, it would be the biggest political axe-burying in the past century.
Rush’s little scheme (which Laura signed on to) was a defeat for grass-roots candidates and those working so hard to get them elected. I doubt I’ll ever look at Rush and Laura the same again.
If I think of it as threateningly deceitful when the democrats do it, am I now supposed to pretend that it's somehow okay?
In any case, the democrat masses must be now be wondering out loud if the republicans handed victory to hillary and why.

I honestly have no idea how this is going to play out in November. All three of the remaining candidates have huge flaws and none of them would I consider a candidate for the POTUS Hall of Fame. I don’t see a real “winning” strategy for any candidate. For us poor dumb slobs out in the hinterlands this election is not about “winning” at all; it’s really about “how much do we lose?”

Rush knows that should Clinton win her nomination, she is the weakest of the two Dems that will face McCain in November.
Haven't you paid attention to the exit polling data? In EVERY race, the second largest group that is bailing out on Clinton is the white male vote (second only to the blacks), who will overwhelmingly vote Republican only to deny Clinton the power she so desires.

THe democrats voted for John “Die Hard Moderate” McClain and we are stuck with him. Hope Hillary drives down the vote so that McClain wins.
Karl Roves polls show McCain easily beating Hillary but losing to Barrack. But I have a hard time believing this. To me Hill and Barrack have different strengths and weaknesses but are roughly equal opponents for McCain in November

That is precisely correct...a rejuvenated Hillary may be more dangerous than the old Hillary.
