I noticed that as well.
I don't specifically know how they work it in Texas, but it is not uncommon for officials to report the absentee ballot totals immediately after the polls close, and list those absentees as "one percent" of the vote just to put in a nominal number (and make it clear that they are only absentees). Later, when today's votes start being reported, the percentage number will reflect the actual number of precincts which have been counted.
I mean really, why would anyone expect Democrats to honor their word.
No surprise now. I guess we should rally behind our candidate as much as possible. I don’t dislike McCain all-in-all, and I don’t think he reflects the majority of conservative values. But, he is better than Hillary and Obama at least just for maintaining the balance of power. I don’t think he will be a good president nor take our country in the “right” direction, but maybe he will keep the lid on ram-rodding Democrats. It certainly will be like choosing the lesser of three worsts. But, we cannot have a Democrat president, and a Democrat congress. That would be totally unacceptable.
He knows that Clinton will win both OH and TX.

Under their plan, the government sets emissions goals.
Companies that can’t meet their targets must buy permits to produce carbon dioxide, either from companies that produce less CO2 than they are permitted, or from the government.
The system may require a large regulatory apparatus.
In the latest McCain-Lieberman version, the government would auction off carbon-emission permits.
According to Harvard economist Robert Stavins, such sales could raise $50 billion to $100 billion a year.
An Energy Department analysis says Sen. McCain’s plan raises energy prices so much that it would reduce economic growth.

Breaking news on FNC: Huck will officially drop out of the race tonight since McCain won the required number of delegates. His speech will be at 9:15pm, about five minutes from now.
You know, if you'll go back through my posts you will see that I did not say that I wished he would die. There are many ways a man could be "taken down" - it could happen by him having a public tantrum, which he is apt to do. It could happen by a scandal coming out on him. There are lots of things, it's sad that you assume I wished he would die - actually I would not wish that on anyone.
But I'm seeing a lot of people on FR lately that seem to think they are morally superior to a lot of us because of who they support.
