I live in Ohio and am in a bit of a quandry. I do not care very much for McCain, but will probably hold my nose and vote for him in November if he chooses a true conservative as a running mate.
The fact that I hate Hillary and Obama is without question.
My quandry is this: McCain has the Republican nomination, so I'm thinking about voting for Hillary to help keep her in the race. From my perspective, keeping her in the race will severely damage the dimmocrap party for months to come.
It may also lead to Obama supporters staying home in November if she wins the dimmocrap nod.
The problem is, if she wins, I will not be able to sleep for four years.
I am facing the same decision here in Texas, and I have decided to vote for Hillary on Tuesday. Here is why:
1) The longer she stays in the race, the more damage she and Obama do to each other, thus helping McCain.
2) If, heaven forbid, the new President is a Democrat, I prefer Hillary to Obama. Both have wrong stated positions on most issues, but I don’t think she means anything she says and might actually do the right thing(or tough thing, in the case of national security). I think that Obama, on the other hand, really means what he says in his wrong-headed thinking.
3) If Obama gets the nomination, he will draw independent voters and minority voters in unprecedented numbers. There was one early-voting place in a Dallas suburb that was open till 10 p.m. Friday, three hours past closing time, because the line was so long. That’s EARLY voting, not even election day. Yes, it was a minority precinct. With that kind of support and turnout, Obama will most likely win.
4) If, on the other hand, Hillary gets the nomination, discouraged Obama supporters are likely to stay home. She simply will not inspire new voters to turn out for her, because no one really likes her.
Therefore, I think a vote for Hillary is the best thing I can do for my country on Tuesday.
Welcome to the new world order....the MSM decides what we believe and the MSM will do whatever it takes to unify the Libs/Dimms and defeat McCain.
So...if you’re counting on winning because of a split in the Dimm party....get over it, my FRiend. It ain’t going to happen.
Let’s help usher in the weaker candidate, and that’s Obama.
I agree. No matter which of the Dimmos get the nomination, a protracted battle, especially if Hillary is seen to have “stolen” it from BHO, will cause much damage to the Dems, which is better for us in November regardless who is running.
NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is mind boggling to me that anyone here would remotely consider the possibility of letting that witch breath (politically) one second more than absolutely cannot be avoided. She must be stopped at the earliest possible opportunity by any available means. All else can be dealt with later. Those two back in power is the worst possible outcome of all currently available.
But then, that’s just my opinion.
No worries. He won't. ;-)
Mrs. Clinton as the nominee....well....I'm not so optimistic.
I’m somewhat distrubed that you can’t make a decision on your own ... but, hey, it takes all kinds to make the world go around.
This is nonsense.
The longer Mrs. Clinton stays in the race, the more likely she is the next POTUS and CIC.
This is the unspun truth.
One concern about so many abandoning the Republicn Party to vote for or against Hillary.....What if Huck sneaks in and wins Ohio?
quote: “If she wins even one primary on Tuesday, she will get the nomination, whatever it takes.
And, we lose.”
Nope, not according to the present situation - she must win Ohio and Texas by healthy margins to remain viable. If she only wins Ohio, she might stay in the race and draw the inevitable out even longer. Hillary, by my estimation, is a lousy candidate and she won’t have the support of blacks or the majority of Obamamaniacs, even with the nomination.
McCain doesn’t shine...McCain will lose. He may even lose Virginia-given all the libs in Northern Virginia and the black vote.
Mega dittos!
I simply and respectfully disagree with your assessment.
“I want hillary out but I dont want obama to have too much momentum”
It is best if Hillary is out as soon as possible. She would NOT be easier to beat in November, and I think she would add Obama to her ticket to “make sure” of a win. I would not worry about Obama having too much momentum. If he is the nominee, he will NOT win in November. Once he actually has to answer some questions, his shine will fade very quickly.
just asking for input
Yeah, Hillary is more beatable. If she wins the nomination, it’ll be close - and it will deflate this Obamagasm hysteria. I suspect the youth vote won’t come out in full force for her. And there will probably be a backlash against her from African-Americans.
Don’t let your blind hatred of the woman ruin the GOP’s chances
We're in big trouble no matter who wins.
I thought "moderates", lefties and middle of the roaders are going to FLOCK to vote for RINO McAmnesty! Isn't that why we are running this turd? (They think McAmnesty will bring in the hispanic vote too.)
I don't understand how you guys think there won't be a big split in the rat party if this goes to a brokered convention anbd Hillary takes it.
You've got millions of people with an entitlement mentality who have gone through life with their hands out (black AND white), and all of a sudden "the man" steals the prize from their messiah.
And you don't think there will be a split? I'm gonna be eating popcorn and loving the soap opera. I'll be here to say I told you so, too!
While I respect your opinion, I know that you're worries are extremely premature.
I personally don’t buy any of this “split the dims for good crap”. These dim witted socialists have been lining up behind whatever crappy candidate they end up with, every time, all the time. If Obama loses, he will graciously bow to the “will of the people” and campaign for the witch, knowing he has plenty of time and opportunity later. On the other hand, if the witch is finished off here, she will be mean, vindictive and nasty, undercutting Obama at every turn.
Simple logic dictates:
The witch must burn.
