Persoanlly I've thought the best place to retire would be one of those apartments in the outfield at Wrigly Field.

****Pittsburgh? You gotta be kidding.****
My sister and brother in law recently left Pittsburgh. He's a doctor the the insurance was just sky high so they left. I can't wait to see their reaction to this news about Pittsburgh.

Am I missing something. If I’m going to retire, why do I care about the job opportunities?

1. Gainesville, Fla.
Agree.
2. Ithaca, N.Y.
Freeze to death in commie land. No thanks.
3. Orlando, Fla.
Running out of water, too many people, too spread out.
4. Pittsburgh, Pa.
Don’t know the place.
5. Portland, Ore.
Eco Commieland.
6. San Antonio, Texas
Nice town, but it’s going to be behind the lines in Aztlan.
7. Tucson, Ariz.
Good luck living in Aztlan, when it’s 115* and the power goes out.

it’s also a smart place .
Like the best college towns, there’s little that progressive Ithaca lacks.

Mrs. Tick is pretty sure that when our number comes up, the only place we’ll be able to afford will be... India. :-)
I disagree, though; I’m not sure we’ll be able to afford the steerage-class fare on the merchant ship.

If Im going to retire, why do I care about the job opportunities?Because living where 40% of the teens and young males are out of work is bad for you?

You know, I don't get down to Orlando very often, but the last time I was there I spoke with a lot of young and middle-aged folk, and it seemed to me that crime was a very big issue for them.
I live in a zero-crime little New England town, so when I travel to a place where crime avoidance is a big part of the local lifestyle, I tend to notice.
I would think for retirees, crime would be a big issue.
