You can rent a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment (1100 sq ft) in a gated community - for US$ 315.00 a month. Ok, but what the heck are you gonna do for a living there?

First, retirement is a luxury, not a right. In the near future we are going to have one heck of a wake up call about that fact.
Second, for those who are thinking of retiring overseas. Remember if there is any sort of local unrest, you will be among the first targeted. If there is world wide unrest, it will be worse.

I’m south of Tucson, at 3600 feet. Our summer highs are 101-103. We get snow most winters, although not a huge amount and it doesn’t stay around very long.
I love Arizona, but I’m not happy about the imported liberalism.

I’m considering northern Nevada for retirement. Sparks looks like a good place, or Fallon. Haven’t yet checked out further north places like Jackpot, or further west.

further west = meant further east, i.e., near the Utah border.

I hear ya! Does the word “Showfield” make you break into a cold sweat? ;)
I’m from NJ, traffic can be a little busy in Lewes in the summer, but elsewhere it’s nothing.
I was a world class certified road warrior there—living here is a dream. I’ve almost forgotten where the car horn button is at!
