This isn’t the first time, she ran over a police officer at an airport one time.

True, and not all motorcades are in parades. When they hit highways they move to highway speed. I know most of the gags on here were before the officer died, but sometimes an accident is just an accident.

Prayers for the officer's family.

Trouble follows Hillary and the Clintons. Is God trying to tell the nation something? Why would we want her to have anything to do with our government (esp President/senator ?

PS/ Wasn’t there some shooting rampage in one of her campaign offices in NH or IA? Alot of trouble in one campaign.

Actually it’s more difficult to ride slowly on those bikes than to ride fast. :-(

Prayers for the officer and his/her family.

I think Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit was patrolling the Oak Cliff area just before he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald. Tippit was also taken by ambulance to Methodist Hospital.

You know Her Thighness also noticed by the look of anticipation on her face. Wonder if she asked for the girl’s phone number.

Prayers to the family of the officer.

From WFAA-TV:

Sen. Clinton offered her condolences to the victim's family and to the Dallas Police Department, calling it a "tragic, tragic loss."

"We are just heartsick over this loss of life in the line of duty," she said. "This reminds us once again of what our men and women in law enfocement do every single day, and it is imprtant that we respect and appreciate their service. I certainly am grateful for all they do for me, and — more importantly — what they do for the citizens of Dallas."

A somber candidate moved to her next event in downtown Worth at 11:15 a.m., and spoke briefly to supporters about what had happened in Dallas. Clinton left the rally without delivering a stump speech, and said she was going back to Dallas to the hospital where the officer died.

How fast could the motorcade have been traveling? For the life of me, I can’t imagine they would be going so fast for the officer to have lost control, swerving into an enbankment.

The way motorcades are managed means that motorcycle cops end up driving a lot faster than the VIP vehicles, even in town. If you watch one sometime, the lead bikes will run ahead to block intersections before the motorcade gets there, then they hold traffic while it passes, ending up in the back... so then they run up fast past the motorcade again to the front. The bikes will leap-frog like that all the way to the destination.

Then of course at highway speeds they do the same thing blocking on-ramps and overpasses and such. Gotta really punch it to get back ahead in that case.

"How fast could the motorcade have been traveling?"

That's a good question. I don't know, but:

Sometimes the motorcycle officers will race ahead to the intersection so they can dismount if necessary to direct traffic.

Then they must race again to catch up and pass the motorcade to beat the lead auto to the next intersection.

Another pertinent question is; how much experience did this officer have?

Was she/he cut off by the motorcade?

Was the bike inspected recently, and in good repair?

Where was Hillary when all this happened?

Where was Bill?

Where was McCauliffe?

Of course she will. Wants to show compassion (no matter how hard it is for her) and canceling a scheduled even to visit the hospital will show "she cares." However, from her past actions, we really know how much she REALLY cares.

Compare Hillary's reaction to a previous time when her vehicle entourage injured an officer at Westchester County Airport not too long after the September 11 attacks.

Did she care about the injured officer then? Will the news agencies compare her reaction then and now...especially when she seems so emotional when an important election is looming.

A staged event to stay in the news for sure ;)

Have some respect, the good officer is dead.

I'm not sure if I heard correctly, but my office radio just had Hillary on extending her sympathy to "his" family. It was my understanding that the officer was female.
