There was an extraordinary development at a hearing today in Los Angeles Superior Court in the Paul v Clinton et al civil fraud case against Bill and Hillary Clinton, prosecuted by Hillary’s largest donor Peter Paul. When Judge Munoz finally allowed Paul to commence discovery after a three year “appellate” hiatus, Hillary Clinton’s attorney declared that none of Hillary Clinton’s lawyers would accept a deposition subpoena on Hillary’s behalf.
Hillary will be dodging process servers while she is campaigning for President of the United States around the nation!! The sworn testimony Paul is entitled to take from Hillary as a former defendant and material witness that the Judge specifically stated he will not allow to be denied, is now being officially thwarted by Senator Hillary R Clinton!
Hillary has now made history again in her contempt for the Rule of Law. I don’t see how he would have any basis. But, of course, we don’t know if Hillary has threatened or blackmailed him or slashed his tires or killed his cat.
I used to be a process server. 30 feet is a “reasonable distance” under the statute for a proper service. Especially if the incident is recorded on videotape, which is a high likelihood.
Also, the secret service personnel would be subject to arrest by the judge if they impede the service, so it’s all fun & games at this point.
Anyone can serve the papers. It doesn’t have to be an LEO.

I was responding to taxman’s assertion that the U.S. Marshalls could do the service. I argue, will they even enforce the order to appear. I seriously doubt that LE agency will enforce her appearance much less compel her testimony, much less charge her with the inevitable perjury.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. On a local level, constables can serve papers. It’s just that most people don’t want to go to that trouble and expense, so they choose less expensive methods to serve.
Okay, who is ready for their 15 minutes of fame? If I were in Texas or Ohio, I would do it.
I want to be the one to do it, but I think any appearance in Calif is going to be private events for big donors.
Why? The server doesn’t have to be an LEO from California. IIRC, the server doesn’t even have to be an LEO at all. An ordinary citizen can serve her.
