Yep, even if there is a legitimate phenomenon its so diffuse and generalized its useless.Yessir, it is predicting an unpredicted event after it has occurred.

Princeton closed the original Robert Jahn laboratory last year. He embarrassed them for many years, never having secured a single competitive grant, funding his quixotic activities with private donations, and he never published a single result in a peer-reviewed journal on his paranormal work. The "striking" results he claimed on his random number generator studies amounted to infinitesimal variations on the order of maybe 2 or 3 anomalies out of 10,000 digits. Hardly statistical significance.
Fun to play around with, but humbug start to finish.

In the mid 1970s he hooked people up to hospital EEG machines so that he could study their brainwave patterns. When these people were shown emotionally charged cartoons, characteristic patterns flickered through their brainwaves. Strangely, these patterns began to emerge a few seconds before they actually saw the pictures. It would be nice if the article mentioned little details like whether the researcher was seeing and/or knowing the content of the cartoons a few seconds before they were placed in the test subject's line of vision. If so, this would be evidence of mind-to-mind telepathy at close range, not of "global consciousness", much less of ability to predict the future.

I just received the Outlook reminder I created in August 2002 to remind me to connect to FR, read and post this reply to this thread. See, the fact that I am posting this - here and now- is undeniable proof that I foresaw the future.
Glad I have an egg at home.

They should do a Drudge Red Siren whenever they see the numbers adjust so we can have a heads up.

Strangely, these patterns began to emerge a few seconds before they actually saw the pictures.Similar phenomenon reported by Ivan Pavlov when he was connecting his experimental subjects ("pavlovian dogs") to the apparatus---they salivated before any food was presented.

These are professional parapsychologists. Actually, they have appeared on Coast several times and have an interesting patter, good for a couple hours of radio entertainment.

OK, now let's all concentrate on the following words:
Barbara Streisand, Barbara Streisand...
If you ask a bunch of people to concentrate why would it not be the case that some would push the zeros and some would push the ones thereby resulting in no effect?

The "bible codes" do the same thing.
